Professor Chris Daniels exited his office in the School of Communications, the tall blonde male on his way to a production meeting at the Medill School of Journalism. He was supposed to attend yesterday but a last-minute faculty meeting had interfered with his plans. He was joined shortly by his friend and colleague, Professor Reso. The two males had agreed to serve as the faculty liaisons from the School of Communications for the student organizations.
Additionally, they had to make sure that curriculum requirements for the Communications students would be met during the two semesters. And they also had to make sure that it would be okay for two of their students to join the clubs; Mickie James and Angelina Williams last minute additions.
“Professor Copeland,” Daniels greeted as he and Jay made their way inside the appointed meeting room, “Professor Dumas, we do apologize for missing yesterday’s meeting but it couldn’t be helped.”
Adam shook his head, “not a big deal… we didn’t really get too much done yesterday, anyway,” a beat passed, “and I don’t know how many times I’ve told you to just call me Adam.”
“Or that calling me Professor Dumas makes me feel so old,” Amy put in, her tone a tad dry, “and like Adam already said, we didn’t really get much accomplished. Today, however, we’re going to set up the schedules and set up playlists for the radio stations.”
“Have you already sorted students?” Jay finally asked, the blue eyed male taking up a seat opposite Amy. “And where would you like us to help?”
Adam tapped the printed list in front of him, “you can help me out, if you want.”
Amy rolled her eyes, elbowing Jay in the ribs, “oh sure, stick me with him.”
Jay huffed, elbowing the redhead right back, “and just what is so bad about me, eh? Admit it Ames, your life would be so totally boring without me around.”
Amy snorted softly, “More like it would be more peaceful.”
“And boring!” Jay retorted.
Daniels and Adam shook their heads, unfortunately used to these kinds of antics whenever Amy and Jay got together. No one really knew the full story behind their friendship, but it was apparent to everyone who knew them that they were close. But, they were both very private people so it was difficult to discern the true nature of their relationship.
The two continued to banter playfully until the door to the meeting room opened, Randy Orton walking in and followed soon after by Trish.
“I hope I’m not late?” Trish questioned first, the cheerleader taking a seat next to Professor Copeland, “cheerleading practice got out early.”
“You’re both early, actually,” Adam informed his advisee and his cousin, “but that’s not such a bad thing because it means that we can start assigning time slots.”
Amy nodded her agreement, taking out a blank sheet of paper from her briefcase and setting it on the table. After determining what times would work best for the two students present, Adam and Amy assigned them accordingly.
“Professor Dumas?” Trish questioned when they were done, “I have the paperwork for you, for the extra credit project.”
“Excellent,” Amy replied, accepting the paperwork and quickly signing it for her. “I’ll submit this to the Dean of the Medill School and then we can get you started.”
Trish beamed, but didn’t get to say much else as the door opened, the remaining students filing in for the production meeting.
