tags When they arrived back to New Orleans, they were none the wiser to the impending danger, though instead of heading back to the hotel immediately, Amy and Alex opted to hang out with Evan for a little while longer. Alex and Amy ended up going to Evan’s apartment in another part of the city along with Josh. Jamie went back to the hotel, the blonde woman hoping beyond anything to avoid running into Madison.
While Josh and Alex entertained themselves with Evan’s extensive comic book collection, Amy and Evan settled in to watch a movie; Amy also calling her sister to make sure that everything was okay back at the hotel.
“Are you heading back?” Alex asked his blonde friend, “or are you trying to avoid the superbitch?”
“I’d rather not deal with her if at all possible,” Josh replied plainly, setting the comic book down.
Alex arched an eyebrow, “so if the zombie apocalypse arrives, and she gets turned, can I kill her?”
Josh made a face, “are you serious?”
Alex shrugged, “why wouldn’t I be? Dude, if she’s a zombie, she’s a zombie… I would be doing her a favor.”
Amy turned from her spot on the couch, shushing the two, Alex rolling his eyes in response.
“Is it okay if I crash here?” Josh ventured to ask, “I don’t know if I want to risk sleeping in the park again.”
“Yeah,” Alex added, “just need to grab something from the hotel first.”
Amy shook her head, “just tell them no because they will eat you out of house and home within an hour or less.”
Josh mimicked her, “either that or you just want to be alone… could that be it, Ames?”
Amy narrowed her eyes, grabbing one of the throw pillows and tossing it at Josh’s head. Naturally the blonde man had to retaliate, tossing the pillow back. Soon, a full scale pillow fight had erupted with Amy and Evan on one side against Josh and Alex on the other. The lighthearted mood that settled in serving as a welcomed distraction from the impending doom.
Not long after, Alex and Amy did head back to the hotel to grab a few things, Evan going with them to make sure that they didn’t get lost while Josh stayed back at the apartment.
