Memories The plan, for now, is simple… the Knockouts will sit ringside for the Divas matches and be officially accompanied by Eric Bischoff. Additionally, the Motor City Machine Guns, Beer Money, Kurt Angle, A.J Styles, and Mr. Anderson will sit ringside for the main event and be accompanied by Hulk Hogan. This non-hostile invasion will continue for several weeks, mostly with TNA personnel appearing at WWE events. At some point, there will be conflict but not of the physical kind, leading to a series of challenges between the two companies.
Hasty introductions are made in the catering hall, the room packed with TNA employees and WWE employees standing near each other but not quite mingling.
Amy whistled under her breath, uncapping a bottled water, “All you need is a piece of red tape or some red paint to make a line.”
Tara joined her in line, “either that or get suffocated from all the testosterone.”
Jamie motioned for the two women to join her, Mickie, Christy, Angelina, Madison and Traci. “Is it always this tense?”
Christy shrugged, “not from what I can remember but there are a lot of people in here.”
Amy nodded as she joined the group, “but at least it won’t be permanent, so it’s not like y’all will have to deal with each other much after this is over.”
“If we all survive,” Jamie commented and then smirked, “or rather, if they all survive.”
“Don’t take them too lightly,” Tara warned, “sure, some of them might look breakable but there some Divas that you don’t want to mess with… like Natalya and Beth. Eve’s improving as well and you all know Gail.”
Madison scoffed her tone confident as she spoke, “please, we can take them on.”
“Anyway,” Amy cleared her throat, “y’all know what you’re doing tonight right? The Divas segments are staggered, two matches and one in-ring promo for tonight and then for tomorrow, another two matches.”
“Uh oh,” Christy muttered under her breath, “don’t look now but I think World War 3 is about to break out.”
Jamie groaned, “Josh… Come on! Behave!”
Amy sighed, “It’s not entirely there fault because I’m pretty sure that Orton and Cena have just as much to do with this food fight.”
“You think?” Mickie quipped, “Those two have the combined mentality of a kindergartener with the maturity level of a toddler.”
“We should probably vacate the premises before we get caught in the crossfire then, eh?” Christy suggested, the redhead hitting the deck before an incoming barrage of peas hit their table.
Jamie growled, wiping mashed potatoes from her face, “Joshua Harter, I’m going to kill you.”
Beside her, Mickie seethed, “not if I get to him first.”
“John Felix Anthony Cena, I am going to strangle you!” Amy shrieked, a veritable buffet of food in her hair and on her clothes. “And you had best start running, Randal Keith Orton.”
Calmly, Tara wiped some gravy from her face, “you all need to grow up! Just because this is Sports Entertainment, it does not give you all the right to act so childish.”
With one last scathing glare in the directions of both the TNA and WWE rosters, Tara stalked out of the catering hall; Amy, Christy, Jamie, Eve, Mickie, Natalya, Gail and Traci following behind her. With a flourish, Amy and Christy pushed the door open to the Divas and Knockouts locker room.
“I would have expected some sort of stupid prank war, but this…” Amy wiped her face angrily, “I honestly don’t know how they all manage to keep their jobs.”
“I know,” Eve echoed her sister’s sentiments. “But what can we really do? It’s not like we can babysit them 24/7.”
“Even if that is what they need,” Jamie commented, shaking her head, “but that shouldn’t be our responsibility, right? It’s not our fault that they all act so damn childish.”
Tara took a deep breath, “I think I need a moment,” not bothering to shower just yet, the woman lead the way to the open parking lot. “Otherwise I might be tempted to permanently injure those little boys the next time I see them.”
Amy smirked slightly, seating herself on a concrete barricade, “it’s too bad we can’t do a reverse Big on them, you know? See if we could possibly modify their behavior when they were younger so they wouldn’t be so childish now.”
“Yeah right,” Mickie replied and then glanced around, “I don’t see any possessed arcade games but there was a shooting star.”
The group of Divas and Knockouts fell into silence, each separately thinking the same thing. Wondering just what it would be like if their male counterparts reverted. And not even beginning to think that the possibility of that happening was more real than they could ever know.
