This spring was terrible for both stress and creativity, but the reason -- a trade show in Atlantic City -- is now over and I feel the desire to create is slowly returning. I had missed at least four workshops and had several where the drawings were so awful that I began to dread going. Last week's drawing -- my first since the show was over -- was only marginally awful but last night's work seems to show some promise. Perhaps it's because I am also writing again. I had thought that writing and drawing would compete for my energy, but they seem to be complimentary, at least so far.
