[ History ] :
Please see the
wiki for a general feel of Remus’ early life and years at Hogwarts.
[ Personality ] :
He was a teenage werewolf. Doing the best that he could.
First and foremost is to recognize that Remus has a big heart. After growing up as a werewolf, he has learned that there is too much hate in the world, and doesn’t want to contribute any more to it. As he is in his 6th year, he has a decent grasp of this concept, though he’s a little less voiced about at his current age. With that big heart comes a tremendous loyalty. A loyalty that allows him to not be so strict on his morals and have a little fun. This, however, does come at a price. Sometimes that loyalty clouds his judgments of his morals. An example of this would be his feelings towards Severus Snape. Though he did not ever directly join in the pranks, he never said anything to stop them either.
Remus generally tries to keep people at arm’s length, due to his ‘condition’. He has a very deep-rooted fear of hurting the people he cares about. Because of this, Remus treasured the very deep attachment to his friends, Peter, Sirius, and James. This is more than obvious, since the four of them were nearly inseparable in their years at Hogwarts. Despite his lycanthropy, the three of them became very close with him, even going so far as to learn the art of becoming an animagi to help him during the lunar cycle. Having grown up as a werewolf, he could never make friends. James, Sirius, and Peter were really the first ones. Obviously, he treasures them dearly. Don’t be mistaken, he is friendly, though not very sociable, and will remain polite to most people he talks to. Gaining his trust, however, takes a hell of a lot more work. Just ask the Marauders.
Remus, for obvious reasons, makes his appearance pretty unnoticeable. Besides looking rather sickly most of the time, he upholds the stereotyped bookwork look-as he should, because he does enjoy learning a great deal. His attendance at Hogwarts was more of a privilege than many will ever truly know, and Remus values what Dumbledore did for him more than anything. It was a chance he never thought he would get. Excelling in areas such as Charms (As one of the maker of the Marauder’s map, he had to be. It is mostly assumed Remus was the main charmer of the map, whereas James, Sirius and possibly Peter were the explorers.), Defense Against the Dark Arts, Dueling, Transfiguration, and Flying skills, Remus, by his 6th year, has a pretty good understanding of magic-though his worst subjects are easily Divination and Potions. Remus studies hard for this knowledge, feeling it is a blessing to be at Hogwarts, and the opportunity should not be wasted. This little werewolf is truly cunning and can be simply brilliant when it comes down to it.
Mostly, Remus rarely loses his temper and remains calm in most situations. In fact, some of the only times he will be irritable/panicked will be around when he transforms for the moon. Generally, around this time, he can experience some heightened senses (Smell, hearing, and sight) and exhibits a few of his more animalistic traits. Of course, this isn’t by choice, but it’s what he’s been dealing with since he was turned. Also during this time, Remus will try and distance himself from everyone, including his friends, and attempt to take most of it alone. Because he does not allow himself to be around people during this phase, he tends to cause harm to himself, hence why he is scarred, and often not so healthy looking.
Still, Remus can be one of the best friends anyone can ask for. Once someone enters his ring of trust, they’re in it for life.

Waking up from the last day of the lunar cycle was... well... stressful, normally. Had he injured anyone? Would he have to visit Madam Pomfrey for some injuries? Ah, but the one thing that Remus Lupin could be certain of would be his location when he woke up: The Shrieking Shack. His best friends always guaranteed that. It would just be a quick trip to the school, and after a shower, some healing if necessary, and he could normally be back before Charms class at 10:00.
... However, this... this was unfamiliar. It startled him. For a multitude of reasons. Had he gotten through Prongs and Padfoot? Escaped and gone on a rampage? Quickly, the boy studied himself for injuries, cuts, blood... any evidence. No, no... he was just dripping wet... His hand slid into school robes, pulling out his wand, though something else dropped out with it. Remus disregarded this object. "... At least I have my wand," he murmured, thinking it was best to be on the defense.
... Okay, had he... fallen into the lake or something? No, no...
Where the bloody hell was he...?

[When the SFC hit the ground, it started a video feed. Those watching the feed would be seeing this rather drab looking teen looking completely bewildered. He seems almost sickly, though he seems quite alert.]
Prongs...? Padfoot...? Wormtail? Please don't tell me I messed up big time...
[ Questions? Comments? Concerns? ] :
Yes! First off, would Remus still transform during the full moon? Can he see it through the water, or will he be relying on his senses?
As well, because the moon has an effect the tides, I was wondering if it would be okay for that to have an affect on Remus as well. Mostly he'd feel a little more ill than normal and possibly have heightened senses.
