Okay, sooo...

...I tried to pull myself together, had a drink, went down to make my dad some coffee and I'm a little calmer now.

God, I hated that gratitious Doctor/Rose. This episode really tipped the scale for me in my internal do I like Rose/do I hate Rose struggle. The outcome wasn't good.
The entire season was littered with 'HEY GUYS! HEY GUYS! LOOK! LOOK! ROSE IS RETURNING! DO YOU SEE ROSE? IT'S ROSE! AND SHE'S GOING TO COME BACK!'.
The last two episodes were filled with 'HEY GUYS! LOOK! LOOK HOW AWESOME ROSE IS! DID YOU SEE HOW AWESOME SHE IS WITH HER BIGASS GUN AND EXPLOSION WALKS AND WITTY ONELINERS? DID YOU SEE IT! SHE'S AWESOME YOU KNOW, BECAUSE WE TELL YOU SHE IS!'.
Basically, we were set up to expect great things from new!improved!mascaraless!Rose and what did she do in the finale? Stand around being imprisoned.
Yeaaaah, you had me impressed there.
Oh, and the Doctor? DOESN'T. DO. DOMESTIC. Even though he's half-human and got all of Donna's family-wanting shizzle in his mind, can you REALLY see him settling down? I hated the two Doctors idea rightaway, changed my mind when they had the whole bio-switch thing with Donna because that was kind of awesome, liked the idea of seeing what the Doctor would have been like if he wasn't a pacifist (half of the universe would have probably been wiped out by now), but then they had to go and give Rose her own Action-Doll Doctor to play with and dress up and call him George. Ugh.

Donna Noble, you own my soul as one of the most awesome fictional characters ever. You are very high up there, lady.
Seriously, human/Time Lord Doctor Donna could have her own spinoff show, except when you put it down in words she's too perfect to be true: funny, gorgeous, brave, huge cojones, and the intellect of the Doctor to boot. I kind of fell in love with her when she was at that control panel.
And I cried so hard at the end, you wouldn't want to know. I've never seen the Christmas special with Donna, but if she went back like to who she was at the beginning of Turn Left...
In Turn Left we saw a Donna that had never met the Doctor, a kind of selfish Donna who chose the easy path. But the potential for Super Special Awesomeness has always been there, within Donna, and her traveling with the Doctor brought out the most well-written compassionate character I've seen on tv (I usually don't like characters who are specifically written to be compassionate, see Rose and Gwen, because they never live up to their label. Donna was written to be fun and loud and ballsy, and that's why she surprised everyone with her ability to become compassionate and a listener and just so very very human). Her travels showed her that she was special, that she was unique and amazing, that she was way smarter and more competent than she thought and that she was one of the most courageous and brave characters the New Whoniverse ever saw.

Those were my two most eleborate thougths on the episode, now the rest:
What is it with amazing lead-up episodes that dont' quite fullfill their promises? Season one and two are my least favorite seasons, and I wasn't really invested in the finales, they were okay. In season three and four, so far, the two pre-finale episodes have blown me away while the finale episode was kind of meh.

I LOL'd SO HARD at 'Exterminieren! Exterminieren!" German Daleks are FUNNY.

Is it just me or is Martha speaking German/being able to speak German INSANELY HOT?

Also, more LOLs at Donna going "No seriously, you can hug me now." to Jack and Jack going "Three Doctors? I can't tell you what I'm thinking now" and Donna finally hugging Jack at the end.

SOOOOOOO YAAAAAAY MARTHA IS GOING TO BE IN TORCHWOOD.
Unfortunately, it seems like Mickey Mouse is going with them.

So, I guess I will now binge on an embarrassing amount of happy Donna!fic, with hopefully a little Doctor/Donna thrown in there.

And that's all, I guess. Now it's up to you! I want to know what you guys thought?
