I HATE FOX.
THEY HAVE CANCELLED DOLLHOUSE AND I HATE THEM AND I CAN'T BELIEVE JOSS EVER WENT BACK TO THEM AFTER THE WHOLE FIREFLY FIASCO.
(Apparently Dushku had some sort of contract with Fox which is why he went back to that network, but let's face it, Dushku was hardly irreplaceable.)
BACK TO THE CAPS. APPARENTLY THEY ARE GOING TO AIR THE REST OF THE EPISODES REMAINING AFTER DECEMBER 4th AS PLANNED.
THEY HAD FUCKING WELL BETTER.
IT WAS GETTING SO FUCKING GOOD, I COULDN'T FUCKING WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED AND NOW I GUESS WE NEVER WILL.
EPITAPH ONE WILL BE OUR ONLY OUTCOME.
AS AMAZING AS THAT WAS, THAT IS FUCKING DEPRESSING.
SO MUCH ANGER.
In more rational terms, I exhibit no actual surprise at the news since they were 'putting it on hold' for a 'publicity drive' and the ratings, for Fox, were in the toilet. So they were basically jumping around screaming 'YOUR SHOW IS ABOUT TO BE CANCELLED' at the top of their lungs. That doesn't make me any less angry though. They have given this show almost zero publicity since it started, shoved it in the Friday night death slot...they didn't advertise it at the Superbowl even though they did advertise like every other show they have, many of which don't even NEED extra publicity.
So I am listening to the Dollhouse OST, because it is awesome, and for Christmas I am going to get the Season 1 boxset, and I will watch it and cry. And then I will watch the Season 2 episodes when they come out and be excited by how great they are (Summer Glau!) and then die a little bit inside because they will be the last dregs of what should have been a five+ season show.
