Something of interest has actually happened so why not actually post about it?

Friday: I spent the majority of Friday packing all my shit. Needless to say, it wasn't fun at all. All the while excited about camping on Saturday.
Saturday: I feel asleep around 4am and woke up at 8 to go get my truck. Jim and I spent a few hours loading it, Amanda came over to help. We, eventually, left at 11:30am--there was more stuff to take care of, but I figured I could do that after we unpack. I get up to Jim's place (in Port St. John; 40miles from where I used to live) and find out that the house is being shown on Sunday so when we unloaded the truck we actually had to organize. I got back to Palm Bay around 5pm, took a quick shower and raced to Mike and Amanda's to meet everyone for camping.
Brian had his dad's boat and we took that to the island (I'd say it was about a 10min boat ride). We got there and set up and made a fire. That night we went down to the shore and started gathering drift wood and made a big fire (not big enough for me to call it a "bonfire" though). All-in-all the trip was a lot of fun and we want to do it again.
Sunday: After breaking camp, Brian took John, Mike and myself back to shore. We went back to Mike's where I took a nap for a couple hours... then did what I was postponing: cleaning up the apartment. Turns out, b/c I didn't give them a 30day notice, I wasn't going to get my deposit back. So, I just did a quick cleaning (didn't fix the two holes in my wall nor was I able to clean them). It took me about 3hrs to complete. Then I had to drive back up to Port St. John (after a brief stop at Mike and Amanda's). Did some laundry when I got here and finally passed out.

I've been feeling a bit depressed since the move has been finalized. I think it's because, for the most part, I've lived in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area since 1998 (I'd go back to Ithaca, NY during school breaks) so this is the first time I haven't lived that close to everyone. Plus, I've had my own place for 3.5yrs and now I don't--it feels "off".

As for today, I'm sore from neck to my toes... everything seems to hurt. I haven't done that kind of exercise in a long time, plus I didn't come prepared shoe-wise (had to borrow some of Brian's which were a bit too small for me and cactus needles would go straight threw them--next time I'm going more prepared!!) It was still good fun and I can't wait to do it again (well, I can wait just a little bit... until I heal :P)
