[There's a New Feather in the white dress stepping into the square and looking around at everything with great interest, the book in her arms, but there's a couple of things that are slightly off about her. She doesn't seem to have any problem being barefoot, and her wings don't flutter about nearly as much as most new people, though her head keeps

Hermione? Have you been captured too?

[Oh boy...]

No... Luna, listen. Where are you right now? I'll come find you and explain, okay? I might drag Harry if I can find him.

There's buildings, and I think that's a well... maybe stores?

Okay. I know where the well is! Hold on, Luna. I'll be there in a minute.

[Aaand she's off. Even if it IS Luna and there will likely be Wrackspurts and all kinds of things mentioned, she's still a friend and Hermione's not leaving anyone to fend for themselves in this place.]

All right, I'll stay here then.

[No more than usual, Hermione, you can put up with that, right? And she'll likely take this a lot better than most new arrivals, so at least there's that. Right now she's just going to sit down on the ground and wait patiently, humming under her breath.]

[At least Hermione's always punctual. She comes running up anxious and out of breath.]

Luna! Are you all right?

Hello, Hermione!

[Well she certainly doesn't seem to be hurt as she bounces to her feet, beaming because she's seeing one of her friends again after four months.]

I'm fine now that I don't have tentacles anymore. The Death Eaters do know some nasty spells, don't they?

Luna! [Lucky you, Luna; you don't get attacked with a hug like Harry.

She's really glad to see Luna's okay, but anything she was about to say is completely wiped from her mind.]

...Tentacles? What were you doing?

[She'd be okay with the hug attack, though she probably wouldn't hug back. Just not something she does. And when she replies, she's supremely unconcerned about the circumstances she arrived in.]

Fighting the Death Eaters. I think they had orders to take me alive, because I really shouldn't have survived and the train got fairly smashed up, but they were only throwing hexes and jinxes. I think two of them hit me at the same time and produced that side effect.

[Of course she isn't. Wouldn't be Luna if she were. Hermione, meanwhile, looks horrified to hear about all of that.]

But you're okay? When was that? Is that the last thing you remember from home?

Oh I'm fine, something similar happened to Juno Riverston last year in Charms class, so I knew the countercharm. But then I think I was Stunned because everything went dark, and now I'm here, which is too bad because I was looking forward to the hols. I think Neville was going to come and visit, but if I'm here and he's not, that probably isn't going to be possible.

[...The answer you want is in there somewhere, Hermione.]

[Y'know... by now you'd think she'd be used to this from Luna. Right. Christmas? Some holiday break. She's fine and that's the last thing she remembers. Kay.. Got it.]

I'm just glad you're okay. [She hesitates.] Why don't you come with me? Harry and I have an apartment right now. I'm sure he wouldn't mind you staying with us.

[One would think, but Luna has a way of tripping people up, even when they know her.]

I wouldn't want to intrude, but it would be nice to have somewhere to sleep at night. Getting rained on in the dark really wouldn't be any fun.

We wouldn't want you to sleep in the rain. Come on, I'll show you where it is. Harry would like to see you, I'm sure.

I'd like to see him too. Does he still have red hair? he seemed surprised that I knew him at the wedding.
