"It started with the perfect kiss then~
We could feel the poison set in~
"Perfect" couldn't keep this love alive.
You know that I love you so~
I love you enough to let you go." ~
Already Gone Kelly Clarkson

The door closed softly as Jaejoong, quiet as a mouse, let himself into the apartment he shared with his husband of three years. Toeing off his shoes and removing his jacket, he folded it over his arm.

The lights were all turned off as he expected at one in the morning, Yunho of course being in bed at this time, because he had work the next morning.

Jaejoong smiled at the thought of joining his husband soon. He had been with his Umma, Kim Soo Mi, for the past two weeks. He had been called to look after her after she fell off the front porch of her home and had broken her hip.

Jaejoong was her son, a dedicated son, so he was called to come care for her until a move in nurse could be found. He had agreed and Yunho supported his decision to help his umma. Jae had decided to stay longer with her just to make sure that the new nurse would treat his umma right.

He had missed Yunho immensely and with the urging from his umma, he had decided to come back home a day early without Yunho knowing. Jae had wanted to surprise his husband with his early arrival and couldn't wait to hold him again, for it had been a long two weeks of not seeing his Yunho.

Jae leaned back against the door, sighing tiredly. It had been a long train ride and he was worn out. He was never one to travel much for it wore him out quickly.

He pushed away from the door, leaving his two suitcases by the door. He tossed his jacket over the cases and silently made his way through the dark living room, to the hallway leading towards the bedroom.

Jaejoong smiled as he thought of the smile that would light up his husband’s face when he slipped into the covers beside of him, making him excited.

He could see the door to the room ajar and the thin line of light peeping out from around the edges.

Smirking, he walked closer to the door only to stop short as a long moan filled the space of the hallway, making the hairs on Jae's neck and arms rise.

Jae tilted his head as he heard the sound again, his eyes narrowing as he moved forward.

Jaejoong stood before the partially opened door and looked through the crack.

What he saw made him gasp and take a step back.

Yunho, his husband, was lying on his back in the middle of their bed with a woman straddling him. The moans he had heard came from her lips as his husband pushed up into her, the bed rocking from the force of his thrusts, and her hips moving over his groin.

Jaejoong hand came up to his mouth as he felt tears sting his eyes. He felt a thickness build up in the back of his throat and felt his stomach clench as his body grew cold. He backed up until his back hit the wall behind him. He couldn't move, he could hardly breath through the pain in his chest.

Tears poured out as the woman's groans grew in intensity and finally from what he knew about Yunho, they must have reached the point they were searching for. Then there was silence, nothing but silence.

Jaejoong leaned his shaking body further against the wall when the bed squeaked, then he slowly took a step forward, not wanting to believe that the man that he loved was cheating on him, and with a girl.

He wasn't looking to hurt himself more but he had to see again the girl that Yunho had chosen over him, because he had choose her over him.

As he looked on, the woman snuggled down into the cover with Yunho with Yunho's arm around her waist.

The woman drew circles on Yunho's chest with her fingernail as she gazed up at him with adoration that even Jae in his despair couldn't miss.

Jae jumped when the girl opened her mouth to speak, her high voice breaking the silence,

"So are you going to tell him about us, Yunho?" She had asked in a hope filled voice.

Jae heard Yunho take a breath, before looking down at the girl, "No. I'm not going to tell him. There's no reason for telling him, he'll never figure it out."

Yunho muttered as he ran his hand up and down the woman’s back while she all but purred her delight in his touch.

"Why not tell him?"

Jaejoong leaned forward to catch Yunho's response and wished that he had grown deaf instead of having his heart ripped out.

"Because I don't want to hurt him. We have been together for so long. The last thing I want is to hurt him." Yunho said as he moved his hand to the front of the girl and fondled her breast.

The woman moaned and then, "So you love him?"

Yunho paused in his caressing of the girls hard nipples and frowned, "No. Not anymore. I have lost all feelings for him as a lover a long time ago. I just feel for him as an older brother would for his younger brother, thats all. I know he still loves me, and I don't want to hurt him. I can't leave him, even though I don't love him I do care for him. But, I need what I need."

The girl lifted up on her elbow as she leaned over Yunho's body and raised an eyebrow at Yunho.

"What do you mean you need what you need?"

Yunho sighed as he laid down his arms crossing over his stomach, "The last time I had sex with Jae was right before he left to be with his umma. I found it almost disturbing. I had to pretend that I liked it. I had to imagine you the whole time I was with him. Oh, I made sure he enjoyed it, and you'll have no idea how hard it was for me to tell him that I loved him afterwards and not just run for the shower. But Jae, he loves me and I...I don't know. He's so..I'm not sure, but I could go my whole life and not touch him again, not with the way I'm feeling right now. I don't know what has caused this. Jaejoong has been nothing but good to me. He works his ass off in a factory while I, sit in my office at the bank. He makes sure I have everything that I need, but I just don't love him anymore. I love him, but I'm not in love with him. Not like before"

Jae was gasping through his tears, both of his hands over his mouth. He felt sick. He couldn't hear what Yunho had to say anymore.

Jaejoong stumbled, his legs feeling heavy as he hastily made his way through the living room and out to the front door. Grabbing his luggage and jacket, Jae left the apartment. The place where he had made a home with the man he loved and had thought loved him back.

He didn't stop to wonder why he didn't walk in on them in the bedroom and announce that he was there. He didn't know why he didn't just go right on in and end everything right then and there. He hadn't been thinking of anything other than to get away.

Outside the apartment complex Jae hailed a cab and went to the nearest hotel. After checking in, Jaejoong spent what was left of the night sitting on the edge of the lumpy bed gazing at his plain gold wedding ring that Yunho had given to him with his many, now broken, promises.

Shock didn't even come close to the way he was feeling. Betrayed. Angry. Heartbroken. Weak. Those were the feelings he felt. He was hurting in the worst possible way there was. His husband had just ripped his heart out. What made this all worse was that Yunho had been pretending to love him.

He would never get those words out of his mind. Yunho saying that he didn't like touching him anymore, that he had to make himself make love to him. No, not making love, not for Yunho. For Yunho it was something that he had to endure because he cared about him. Yeah, Yunho sure did care about him.

Jaejoong swallowed back the thickness in his throat. His body felt like it was weighed down and he couldn't move.

He just couldn't understand what went wrong. What had happened? He thought that they were ok, and that they still loved each other.

Still trembling, he rose and walked to the window drawing back the curtain. The sun was just cutting across the horizon, the orange rays welcoming a new day. To bad this new day would mean the ending of a life that Jaejoong loved and the beginning of a new life that Jaejoong didn't want.

Jae just couldn't see still being with Yunho after all he had just heard. He was stronger than that. He had decided sometime in the night that he would leave Yunho. He just couldn't live with the man knowing what he did.

While the man was at work, he would go pack all he could and leave. He wouldn't be able to leave if Yunho was there, he was strong but not that strong when it came to his husband.

He would go back to his Umma and live with her. His decision was finale.   Jaejoong waited until he knew for sure that Yunho had left for work before entering the apartment that had been his home.

He looked around the living room and felt the thickening in his throat again. He felt the wet sting of tears but he refused to cry. He had told himself that he had cried all the tears he would cry for this.

Why should he shed more tears when they would not bring back Yunho's love to him. So he would stay strong. He will try and move on. As much as he love's Yunho, he was willing to let the man go. He wouldn't hold him in a relationship that he didn't want to be in.

His mind made up, Jae walked into the bedroom door, pausing before he reached out and pushed it open with the palm of his hand. He walked to the middle of the room and halted, his eyes finding the bed that Yunho betrayed him on.

It was made up perfectly, not a single wrinkle could be seen, just the way he liked it.

Jaejoong looked around the room. He really couldn't think of anything that he needed to take with him. The only thing he wanted was the photo album and the one red stuffed elephant that Yunho had gotten him.

Those two items in hand, he walked over to the desk in the corner of the bedroom and wrote a note to Yunho.

Yunho,

You don't have to pretend
that you love me anymore.
I know now.

~Jaejoong
Jaejoong finished the small note and left it in the middle of the bed along with his wedding band.

Looking around the apartment one last time, he left just as quietly as he came, not looking back once.
