Happy Valentine's Day
I am 9 weeks and 4 days pregnant.
Yesterday was my first appointment. They weighed me and took me in for an ultrasound first thing because the room was available. The midwife got a good image of the baby. It was about the right size and looked perfect except for one thing that even I could see.
There was no little flicker in the middle.
She told me that ultrasounds are not her specialty, so she brought in an OB/GYN. He could not see it either. They turned on they sound, as high as it would go, but there was utter silence.
No heartbeat.
The OB/GYN went over my options - D&C, cytotec to induce my body to miscarry or just waiting for the cramping and bleeding to begin.
I had blood drawn yesterday and today to check my hormone levels. They plumeted over night. My baby is offically dead.
So know I am just waiting.
