Ugh, I'm sorry to hear that. I am also sorry no one else has replied to this post yet. I am also sad we missed you during our spring break.
That said, what is going on with you and school -- as in -- does your current standing with EWU mean you won't be able to get financial aid somewhere else without a struggle, and/or on a more personal level, are you absolutely done with school?
I still don't really know what I'm doing. I'm actually considering transferring to a school in either Seattle or Los Angeles after taking some WSU summer courses and maybe another fall/spring semester. Or perhaps it'd be in my best interest to work and go to school part time or something. Who knows.
I wish I had an answer for you. You're one of those few people I know that have "been there, done that" and so I can't sit and say, "try this!" and feel positive about it.
It's kind of like where I was the last six months of last year.. except I had a little bit of a clue where I wanted to go. Just no idea how to get there. I'm still figuring that out.
At least you have the support of family and friends, and hopefully they can do so (emotionally and financially) until you get back up on your feet. That's much more than a lot of people have, so it's something to be grateful for : )
