[ There's a rather.. strange written entry to be found today. Apparently someone (upon arrival, most likely) thought the journal served some other purpose than it actually does. ]Dear weird diary-like thing I just found here in the grass

Dear people on the other side of the diary,
I'm sorry! I didn't know there were people on the other side of the diary, so I didn't think anyone would read this-- ... where's Luceti though?

Oh, it's quite alright. Most people aren't aware of us unless they get dropped off in town or into someone's bath or bed. The Malnosso (the ones responsible for you being in this village) aren't very good about where they leave us when we arrive.
Luceti is the name of the village and surrounding area you're in. I'm afraid it isn't anywhere that you're used to, however. You've been taken and now you're on a different world.
Sincerely,
The people person on the other side of the diary

Well, I don't know much about it, but.. it seems very indecent to just drop off people wherever they want! I know I'd be pretty embarassed if I'd just be dropped off in the middle of a classroom after not doing my homework.
A different world.. Ahahaha, I get it, it's a joke, isn't it? Who thought this one up, the joke with diaries talking about other worlds? It was Rei-chan, right, right?

Well, I didn't want to give you the wrong impression that everyone was speaking to you. It's just me right now, but I'm sure others will show up soon enough.
It can be a bit inconvenient, but most people seem to do fairly well. Also, it isn't a joke. You're talking to someone through a journal you found lying with you in a forest. Doesn't that seem a bit strange?
Sincerely,
The person on the other side of the diary

I understand then! Are the other people on the other side a bit nice too though? I'm not sure if I'm ready to deal with big meanies just yet..
And it does seem a little strange to me, but a lot of strange things have been happening to me lately, so I'm not surprised! So what you're saying is that this is a different world where people talk to diaries?

Yes, most people here are quite nice. Sometimes we have trouble, but there are enough to take care of it that it rarely gets to be too much. Do you deal with 'big meanies' back in your world often?
That would be one interpretation, yes. I'm sure others will tell you differently, but~
[And he switches to voice so she can actually experience 'talking' with the journal.]
That seems accurate to me.

Wait, you can actually talk too? I thought maybe you could only write..! That's sort of cool though..
Sometimes I deal a lot with big meanies back home! You see, there was this guy called Mamoru and he made such rude insults sometimes, you wouldn't even believe! And
[ ... that's where it suddenly stops, because she has to think of Mamoru and how she likes him but he's engaged and she's not sure if she can go on with this ramble anymore. ]

Yes, you can talk, write, and do something called 'video' on this. The future is so interesting♥
Don't worry about your home life, Usagi-san. When you return, it will be there waiting for you. Let's not think about any mean people and just focus on the fun of being here, hm?
Oh, and my name is Soujirou.
Sincerely,
Soujirou

You can really do all those things with just this?! That's right, the future must be really interesting.. I'm sure Ami-chan loves something like this!
And.. does that mean no matter how long I'm here, I won't be late for dinner back home?

It would seem! They didn't have such things back when I'm from, so I find it all very fascinating.
And it seems you have the gist of things, yes. You won't be late for dinner.

We had cell phones where I came from, but no books which you could really write in! Well, I tried writing in my school books once, but then my teacher just got really angry at me and I had to stand in the hall..
And I'm glad! I wouldn't want to miss out on Mama's cooking!

You can just call me Soujirou if you wish. That's unfortunate that you were yelled at. Writing in your books seems like a good way to remember things.
And I'm glad as well, that I could be of help.

Isn't it? If you make all sorts of drawings and stuff in your books, it's much much easier to remember everything! And it looks cuter too.

I like drawing in books, too. I used to draw in my friend's poetry book all the time.
He got a little angry, but I think it made it look better. Perhaps you can draw in this book and make it look cute, too?

But this book is a little different, right? If I'd draw in here, everyone would probably get to see it..
