Dear Usagi-chan,
It's not nice to call things "weird", I'm offended, I'm a very normal looking book! One of the finest ones of my print run, to be exact. All the others were pretty jealous of me.
I'm grateful to you though, for putting me in use, after all what other use would a blank book have if not be written on? I can understand pretty well how lonely it feels, do you have any idea how cold and empty it can be to be sitting here in the grass waiting for someone to pick me up and write on me? And in a spot not that easy to notice, on top of that! I would have still been sitting here for days if you hadn't noticed me, believe it, it's quite maddening.
I'm not sure how much of a great chatter a rabbit could be, their vocabulary tends to be pretty limited but you could give it a try. A bird or anything else may work as well, just don't scream if they answer back, all right?
That aside, be sure to not touch the wings, you won't like how sensitive they are, trust me. Now, if you're kind enough to describe your surroundings a bit better maybe we can figure out a way to get you to a safer place, okay? Or to a bakery to solve that hunger problem.

I'm very sorry for calling you weird!! I didn't mean anything by it, I just never noticed a journal lying around in the middle of a forest, if that makes any sense.. No, I'm actually very sure journals normally don't lie around in forests! But that's why I'm so glad I found you, since you've helped me out a great deal like this too!
... um, please don't tell anyone, but I actually tried talking to one of them earlier to see if they could maybe tell me where I was.. I knew it was a little stupid, but what else could I do in a situation like this, you know? Just a small secret between you and me, journal-san!
Oh, does that mean you know the way around here? You must be a really smart journal to be able to do that much.. ... And what's wrong with the wings?

Lying around in the middle of a forest isn't the natural state of a journal, I can give you that. But it doesn't make me weird, it makes the situation weird, which it already is even without me here.
You tried to talk to one of them? And they didn't answer you? Must have been a really rude one, normally they at least offer an answer, though his thought patterns are terribly simple. Not the best conversationalists, but it's to be expected.
Of course I know the way around here, I live here after all. But I'm not omnipresent or omni-conscious, I can't know where you are unless you show it to me or describe it to me. Though maybe you prefer to wait for Ami-chan to find you and get you to your new house?
About the wings, long story short, if you rip them off you will die. Automatically. No sweet last moments to utter any memorable last words. But that only happens if you rip them both off, if it's only one all that you get is the most intense pain you'll ever suffer. Sweet, right?
