Unique jewelry
I just received my package of beautiful jewelry made by karadin! The pictures on her "Etsy Shop" don't really do them justice. I bought the Victorian style dangling earrings and blue Japanese print circle earrings and bracelet which will go nicely with this pretty blue top I bought recently for work. So if you're looking for a unique artistic but useful gift, take a look at what she's made.
In other news, looking for an apartment in NOLA SUCKS. I work in the CBD and I kinda want to stay in the City so my commute isn't far but as you may know, there aren't many 'safe' areas in city limits, unless you want to pay what I used to pay for a mortgage on a 3 bdrm house! Outside the city, rent is a little cheaper, but you pay for it in commute times, gas and wear n tear on your car. But staying where I am isn't an option any longer. So which sacrifice to make?
Good news is that the job is going well and I really like it. I just realized this week that the hotel behind my office building is the one we hung out at waiting for Bacchus 04 (when Elijah was king) to come down the street. And just a few blocks down is Canal St. and the hotel where Elijah toasted Dom heehee. Wow, never thought I'd be *working* in that area when I went to that parade years ago!
If anyone is going to watch the NCAA Final Four, ya'll be sure to wave at our prettied up new Stupiddome...er Superdome. And me! I'm just down the street from it and Monday is going to be a traffic nightmare. Just look for my beat up old red van and a lady inside yelling "stupid tourists!" :)
