[Kelmis seems innocent enough, just a black chocobo chick with adorable on his side. However, it's a clever little bird and while his owner is dead to the world, waddles out of Ceodore's bedroom to inspect the rest of the house. On finding the front door slightly ajar, it's little beak pushes through the crack. FREEDOM!

[Darned thing has a determined beakful. Ceodore will probably have to pry the bird's mouth open to free her.]

[Wincing as Kelmis takes another experimental chomp, she reaches out to try to force his beak open. Not exactly the safest thing to do, but she's got nimble fingers.]

[Ceodore grabs the bird, and tries to help free her hair. Kelmis doesn't nip for it but he makes a series of protesting noises as a result. Loud ones.]
Hush! You're going to wake the whole village.

[Finally, the bird lets go and Lyn sighs with relief, stepping back a bit to bring herself well out of his reach.]

The yellow ones are more common and get taller.

They're used as mounts.

Well, yes, horses do have hooves... they go on four legs, they're very tall, a person usually barely comes up to their shoulders, and they make excellent mounts. They have wonderful endurance and great speed.
