[Kelmis seems innocent enough, just a black chocobo chick with adorable on his side. However, it's a clever little bird and while his owner is dead to the world, waddles out of Ceodore's bedroom to inspect the rest of the house. On finding the front door slightly ajar, it's little beak pushes through the crack. FREEDOM!

[Terra is walking around the village, taking her own chicobo for a walk. Carbuncle is securely bundled in Terra's scarf to ward her from the cold, and she seemed content there...until the warbling catches her attention. Instantly, she becomes a very restless bird and struggles to free herself, wanting to seek out the source of that noise.]

Hey! Carbuncle, stop!

[Terra tries to catch her, but the bird leaps to the snow-covered ground, sprinting toward the other chicobo.]

Kelmis! Stop!!

[Ceodore's sprinting behind his own chicobo who's not really obeying his owner as much as being very curious about the other chicobo in the area. Kelmis waddles over to Carbuncle and warks loudly.]

Whoa! There's two of them!

[Carbuncle kwehs loudly in response, circling him. Terra watches them both and begins to smile, relieved that she could catch up.]

Yeah. Wasn't quite sure what that holiday was about other than gifts.

I'm glad. I was worried that Carbuncle might feel lonely, if she was the only chocobo here. I think I've seen black ones before, but they're not from my world. Does yours have them, then?
