[In the middle of a patrol, Selphie spots something off in the distance. Pulling out her nunchaku, she'll begin following it, in case it's an animal.]

[Not quite animal, but it's possible he'll turn aggressive in the confusion state. Lucky for everyone he's blind too and nothing will hit. Of course, Ceodore's making a beeline for the lake and will walk straight into it if not stopped.]

[boomchucka]

[Once they get through the clearing, Selphie sees that it's a familiar face that she's missed quite a bit.]

Ceodore!

[She runs up to stop him from walking right into the lake.]

[Sorry but he's out of it right now and automatically moves to slash at the nearest person, which happens to be Selphie. Status effects. Gotta love them.]

[boomchucka]

[Selphie uses both ends of her nunchaku to deflect the blow. Luckily, the sword becomes lodged in her weapon as she expertly twists the weapon in order to wrench Ceodore's hand free from his grasp.

She knows confusion when she sees it. Damn Malnosso.

Her eyes narrowed as she used her strength to toss both the nunchaku and sword away from the two of them before she's balling her fist and driving it toward's Ceodore face.]

Wake. UP!

[Considering Selphie's fist is nearly the size of Ceodore's face right now, that's going to hurt. And boy does it. Puts him on his ass in fact, but it does the job of ditching the Confusion. Can't see where the blow came from but he's turning his head to try to figure out where he is and what clocked him so hard.]

[boomchucka]

[Selphie winces as he hits the ground but his eyes are clear now which means her little clock to the face succeeded. She kneels down next to him and sees the rest of the status effects and quickly casts her last Esuna on him.]

[Esuna does the trick, restoring Ceodore to the right height and clearing away all the nasty statuses. It takes him a second to register his own awareness and return of vision and speech...]

[And then he sees who's responsible and grabs her into a tight hug.]

[Brace yourself, Sunshine, because you're about to get bombarded with relieved and ecstatic snogging. Ceodore missed you!]

[She can't stop the happy tears from falling down her face before she's engulfed in a surprise snog attack as she just wraps her arms around him.]

[Snogging the rest of the day would be perfectly fine with Ceodore but there's something he needs to take a breather to ask about.]

Hey, why are you crying?

Because I'm so happy to see you!

I'm so sorry. I tried to fight them.

[More hugs then he'll be wiping away those tears.]

[If those tears were happy, they aren't anymore. She starts babbling about the hallowe'en event and how helpless it had left her feeling about not being able to help her friends. Her angst could probably rival Ceodore's if she were the angsting type. She didn't have time to be upset with everything that was going on the week before.

Eventually, she scrubs at her eyes.]

Sorry... I'm being selfish.

[Only a little bit into the explanation, Ceodore pulls Selphie close and puts her head on his shoulder, stroking her hair while she vents herself out. He aches all over from the last ten days and hurts like the dickens where she punched him, but he can withstand it.]

[Selphie shakes her head. Some things just can't be helped.]
