[Ceodore is one bloodied and bruised mess after tangling with some metallic mystery Eidolon. He trudges into the house with the full intent of crawling into bed and sleeping until everything wrong with him goes away. He'd heal himself, but he's low on magic and to add insult to injury, that Eidolon inflicted Silence on him right before it expired. ( Read more... )

[Edward certainly looked as if he had seen better days, especially after tangling with both a certain powerful Dragon God and a impure Luvaci hailing from the barrels of Hell. Limping towards the house, the bard ceremoniously fell to the floor as soon as he closed the front door behind him.]

Nngh...

Edward!

[Immediately, Rydia rushes over to heal him. She forgets about her own weariness, for the moment.]

[Edward was literally unconscious as soon as he hit the floor. Battling two gigantic fiends in one day wasn't something the bard was truly accustom to, but he was so thankful to still be alive. He swore he met his end when Bahamut appeared, but things only gotten worse once that demon appeared near the edge of town.]

Oh...

[The bard to stir.]

My head aches so badly.

[Frowning in concern, Rydia used more healing magic.]

Edward...open your eyes. Look at me.

[Once she cast the second spell, Edward slowly rose from the floor. He still looked a tad dazed, but at least he wasn't unconscious.]

Huh? [The bard glanced around the living room briefly.] I actually made it home!

[He smiled at Rydia.]

You are well! How are the others? Are they here?

[If Rydia was alive, then everyone else must be alive as well.]

[Rydia nods, relieved and smiling in return.]

More or less. It's been a long day, hasn't it?

[Her smile slipped a bit.]

...I encountered Mother's dragon and then Asura. They...weren't themselves.

[A look of shock settled upon his face once he heard the news.]

You've seen the Eidolons as well? I thought it was just an illusion at first, but then Bahamut attacked!

[What the heck is going on here?! Ah! The Eidolons are enraged with them for some reason.]

He attacked Golbez too, but seemed to snap out of it by the time I got there.

[She shakes her head, worried.]

They're all so agitated. I don't know if it's simply arriving here, or something more....

[Edward scoffed when he heard of Golbez's good fortune.]

Lucky him...

[If the dragon had persisted in chasing Saleh and him, the bard wouldn't be alive now.]

Perhaps something here in Luceti is pulling them here?

[Rydia scowls, very NOT HAPPY at the thought of someone messing with her Eidolons.]

It must be those damn Malnosso at work, again.

[Edward noticed her scowl and just frowned in return. Rydia looked so upset at the sheer thought of his suggestion. It worried him.]

I certainly wouldn't put it passed them, but if this is there fault---then what of the quake? I do believe now that they played some role in that regardless of what was said.

We cannot trust these people, I can say that much.

[Rydia's frown doesn't relent, as she nods.]

Oh, I completely agree. And if I can ever pay them back for daring to do this to the Eidolons and us, I will. They have no right to treat us this way.
