[Ceodore's settled into something of a daily routine, even though it surprises him how quickly it seems to have happened. Most of it involves avoiding the house as much as humanly possible. The only deviations to the pattern occur when he's dreaming naughty stuff about Rydia avoiding being skewered by Kain destroying appliances something more ( Read more... )

[Ceodore's sitting by the bank, munching on an apple himself. He shakes his head in response.]

You're fine. Just enjoying some peace.

[He'll sit down nearby, then.] All the water around here is really nice. I enjoy walking out here.

I've been waiting for them to meet up too. lunarianlegacy May 6 2010, 03:07:43 UTC
It is nice. A friend brought me out here not long after I arrived.

[His face falls a bit. He's still worried about Rydia being gone.]

[Frey notices this, but chooses not to ask. It would be rude of him.] She probably wanted you to enjoy it, then. Peace is something to be cherished.

[He nods, eyes scanning the water.]

That is what she said. That we should take it whenever we can. It is a precious commodity.

And I just realize their names sound similar XD falenandawn May 6 2010, 03:48:57 UTC
Indeed it is. Your friend sounds like a wise women. [he pauses] Ah, I'm sorry. I should have introduced myself. My name is Freyjadour. [He kept forgetting his manners, here.]

Ceodore. Nice to meet you.

[He holds out his hand for a shake. Really, he should have at least given his last name; but even if it doesn't hold as much weight here, Ceodore is anxious to build an identity of his own, separate from his parents.]

Pleasure to meet you, Ceodore. [He’ll accept that handshake, and raise you a smile. And Frey's doing almost the same thing, really. Or, at least attempting too. Very hard in his case.]

[Nice thing about smiles is that it puts people at ease.]

You come out here often then?

[True, that.] As much as I can. The river and lake remind me of home.

Well, Falena has one very large river, called the Feitas. It runs all throughout the whole country, and allows travel to near anywhere within it, if you don't mind walking a bit.

What's your home like? If you dont mind me asking, that is. [Because this one is terribly curious about other places, let alone other worlds.]

I don't mind. Baron is... one of the largest nations in the world, rich in natural resources. It's bordered on the south by mountains, to the east by the sea, to the west by the desert and to the north by a great river. Her military power is the greatest among all the other countries, but it plays a key role in maintaining the peace in the world.

[He grins sheepishly at that description.]

I guess I sound like a history book. The city's large and the people are kind and open. There's a waterway and bustling shops, the inn is always busy accommodating travelers.

It sounds like a wonderful place. The fact it helps maintain peace elsewhere, even more so.

[Frey smiles back at the last comment.] Not at all. It sounds more like you care greatly for your home.

[His home is far worse off, setup wise. The world itself is generally prone to war.]

[A few weeks prior, and he would have denied that. Not that he hated Baron, per se, but hated all the expectations that come along with bring its prince, being his parents son, and the non-stop, unearned praise from the people.

After watching the Red Wings die trying to get home, and finding the guard taken over by monsters, well, suddenly home, and all it represents has become far more precious to him. It's absolutely worth fighting to get back.

He nods solemnly.]

I do. I'd protect it with my life.
