It's totes snowing outside :D
Seriously, last year it was snowing by the end of October! And we had snow on the ground from the end of December through like February. The first good snow we get is nearly midway through January this season?? o.O Also, it's finally *feeling* like the winter cold it's supposed to be out there. Totes woke up to it being 60 degrees in my room. D: (Needless to say the heater is on and I am in front of it.)
Anyway, now that my birthday's over I can post a rundown of the new things I have! :D (And also a good update, cause it's been a while since I've done one of those.) There were going to be pictures too, and I started taking some after I got home from Mom's, but then the camera died (needed charged again) and I didn't wanna dig my charger out of my bag. Now that it is charged, I'm not in the mood to deal with uploading pictures. *laughs* Which is a long drawn out way of saying there will be no pictures (right now).
So, the rundown:
Christmas
Dad: $200
Aunt L: A soft and pretty coat! (That was inevitably too small and had to be returned. :( Too bad, too. I liked that one.)
Sister: A JAYDEN!MORPHER *and* a ANTONIO!MORPHER! :D (She knows me well.) And two (happy meal maybe?) PR Samurai spin-kick Kevins she found at Goodwill. *grins*
Mom: CD and penguin slipper socks (that I *love*! :D)
Me: Snow boots, SPINSWORD, B&BW hand soap (it was on sale), and Sims Medieval: Pirates and Nobles! \o/
Birthday
Rosa: Mia!ranger (My first actual PR action figure!) --And I got Rosa herself, which is like the best present ever! ♥
Dad: Family +
rosabelle dinner at a Chinese buffet restaurant! :D
I didn't know how much I would actually enjoy my toys until I had them. Now I want all the toys! *facepalms* But OMG I love my spinsword! And MORPHERS! And Mia(!) that I haven't seen *anywhere* until the other night. Now I just need an Emily to go with her and I'll be satisfied.** And I sooo can't wait till I can afford the Megazord. :D
On the plus side though, I now have something that will always be on my wishlist. *grins* I never know what to tell people when they ask! But now I'm like OMG!TOYS!! Seriously, I didn't know how much glee this would cause! *amused*
Most of my $200 from Christmas went into my Sister's speeding ticket, so I am completely broke until I go on my epic job hunt. (Which I am starting next week! I am feeling pretty optimistic about this, I hope this is a good sign. *crosses fingers*)
This week with
rosabelle has been the best! We've watched a lot of tv and movies, played around on the internet, spent time with my sister and nephew, and been totes lazy and comfy and relaxed. It's been so nice. ♥
Also there was Alpha's Magical Fic Exchange! :D My gift was All Roads Lead Home from the amazing
PockySquirrel, and was a combination of two of my prompts to make a lovely Samurai Christmas story that is totally my new canon for the Christmas episode. <3!
I was so excited for these to go up, you have no idea! I was so stuck on my assignment that I was worried I'd have to default, but I got a huge burst of inspiration while I was at home (with no internets***) and got it done before I came back. \o/ It's been a while since I've written anything, so this is totes an accomplishment! :D And hurt/comfort! (In short: I had fun. *laughs*)
