The tornado that went through the city right next door yesterday

Am so much better today. I think I only got around four hours of sleep, but when I woke up I was wide awake and starving. (I'd just made a pizza and sat down with my first piece when I decided to check the weather last evening. ...My appetite went out the window from there, heh, and I'd been pretty hungry. I made myself eat it before I crashed, even though I still had no appetite--and to appease my growling stomach.) I got up and had a big bowl of stew with some milk this morning.* Yum! ^_^

Still have to call Mom here in a bit, see how she fared in this mess. It got to TN around 2am, and from what I've seen and heard on facebook, they were hit pretty hard too.** :S Also, this does nothing to help my fear of lightning. DDD: One of my facebook friends was posting pictures of this last night. It was his next door neighbor. Sounds like a huge portion of TN is out of power as well, so...will definitely be calling Mom soon to check on her.

ETA: Mom is fine. She said it went straight through pretty quick. Though a tornado did touch down not five minutes after it got through her. It was moving so fast by then though, that it was a city over, so. *is thankful* Also discovered that winds in the tornado that went through up here were ~100mph. Scary, scary stuff.

*I'm not, by any means, a good breakfaster. I prefer my breakfast foods at any other time than in the morning. *giggles* Then I don't have to get up and cook! (Though I would eat breakfast at all hours of the day if I could, and was inspired enough to cook. *giggles*) My breakfast usually ranges from Pop-Tarts to sandwiches to chili. *grins*
**I get all my news from TN on facebook. It's usually about the only time I'll take the time to read everyone's status, since probably 90% of my 'friends' are down there.

video, links, food, storms, weather, mom is my idol, facebook
