I have done something possibly stupid, possibly bold, probably crazy, and hopefully useful.

I have joined a Write-A-Thon.

The Clarion Foundation is a non-profit who put on a yearly science-fiction/fantasy writer's workshop. Perhaps some day I'll get out to that, but here's a chance to support it right now! And it's also a chance to get some much needed focus for myself.

My personal goals for the write-a-thon is a viable second draft of a novel. By viable, I mean passable for showing to loved ones who are obligated to if not avoid laughing at me, at least produce baked goods when they do so.

On top of editing, which is the primary goal, the secondary goal is to not lose my 750 streak, which means at least 750 words every day. Edited work will count towards this, because otherwise I probably won't get anything done.

If anybody wants to throw donations at my page, that would be AWESOME and make me feel loved. Proceeds all go to the Clarion Foundation so that they can keep encouraging more fantastic sci-fi and fantasy in the world.

I will also be blogging or tweeting progress through the edits. This may be hilarious if you like to see people go bat shit fucking crazy. My twitter, it is over here: http://twitter.com/#!/LunarFlight

clarion, shit shit they're in the shit, write-a-thon, writing, the hell am i doing now?, muses can go eff themselves, adventures in storytelling
