In Which This is Where I Am

In case it wasn't clear in my last post or you didn't know what the hell I meant, I joined National Novel Writers Month this year.

50,000 words in thirty days. And I'm ALREADY BEHIND. :D

So, my point for this post is to explain that I'm not going to be online as much this month. I will be off banging my head against the keyboard/notebook/random inanimate object in an attempt to squeeze the required words out. Or, if I am so favored, too busy pouring those words out to actually bother with the social thing.

And if I am online and I'm not responding or don't seem to responding quickly, again, this would be because I'm trying to write. It's not personal if I sound snappish either. It's FIFTY THOUSAND WORDS in THIRTY DAYS.

In other news, work was REALLY FUCKING BUSY TODAY. Person after person after phone call... And one top of that, I was trying to reconcile the main bank account and take care of all my other tasks. All three main techs ended up out of the office for most of the morning. It was a busy, busy day. x_X

Still, despite all that, I felt I did a good day's work. Reconciling the bank account went surprisingly well with only the normal and minor unexpected transactions. Unlike some reconcilings of the past. On top of that, I felt I handled most customers pretty well. Okay, some, not so well. But I did get us a new big client, I believe! And I stole business from the other computer place that moved into our same street. Mwahahaha...

On another note, I have learned a valuable lesson. Skipping meals is very very bad and if Meg does it too much, her body makes her pay for it in horrible exacting ways.

I am and will continue working on not skipping meals.

Also, the universe has apparently decided that this week, I am not allowed to sleep all the way through the night. What a week to start out Nanowrimo, eh? Why they hell do they make NOVEMBER of all months Nanowrimo ANYWAY?

work, nanowrimo
