A.) Phone; filtered away from drones
...this town truly doesn't give one a moment's rest, does it? I'm lucid as ever, but I've seen and heard a lot of people that sound like they're hallucinating terribly. All I can say is to be careful.
Miss Black-White, that means you, too. I'm serious; don't intentionally go seeking whatever it is that's

It's also a good thing she knows how to keep a very, very calm head under pressure. She knows where her knives are, yes, but there's no need to get them out. When she speaks, her voice is even, steady, and marble-calm.]
No one is saying that you're inferior. Not as a person, and certainly not as a magician. You're in the elite ranks among them, that's a fact. Look around you; there's only you and me here. This isn't the Magic Kingdom, and your brother isn't here.
I don't hear anything other than the sound of your voice.
[At the first sign of that golden storm, she does what she must: she stops time. She only has a moment, but she only needs one to get to his side - still in his field of vision, but out of the direct line of fire. Time resumes one minute later, and when it does, the maid is ready, a single hand on his arm.]
It's me. It's Sakuya. I'm not your enemy. You don't need to paint the room scarlet with my blood. I'm speaking to you as someone who knows their own power is far less than yours; I'm speaking as someone who knows you aren't a failure and knows you're not inferior to anyone.
You don't need to spill more blood here.

Battling an inner conflict between what he wants to believe and how he should be, the spell that was ready to be fired in his hands was then clenched tightly in his hands. The spell went off STILL with his balled fist, making his arm shake violently in Sakuya's grasp that gave the threat that it would even be dislocated from the power and the force the spell had put out... because once the spell had finished, drips of blood began to pour between his fingers.
Trying his best to ignore the pain, and failing at that, those sapphire eyes of his gazed down coldly at the maid, like a wild and frantic animal waiting for a meal and yet frightened by something. He wants to believe it, he even stopped his own spell with his own body that paid a heavy price for it, but he still can't trust her with his mind being so messed up. So he says only two words in a cool tone.]
Prove it.

There are no knives in her apron, and as soon as she sees blood, she unties it, trying to get at them, to at least stop the bleeding for the moment. She sees that shaking, the insecurity, the fear, but she wants to balance it out with steadiness, a cool head, quiet words. Her own blue eyes meet his, and she looks directly into them when she speaks.]
I stopped time to break through to you. I'm tending to your wounds, rather than trying to add to them. I'm not and haven't done anything to hurt you, and I won't.

[He cuts himself off from finishing the rest of her name once the pang of the pain surges through his arm and for a short moment, seeing everything in a clarity from that pain before everything turned back to how it was before. Naturally, this meant that he was not exactly going insane but still couldn't differentiate between enemy and ally, his lip hard to keep his sanity and vision in check so he could summon one more magic spell.
It was a card that appeared between his fingers in his other hand that turned into a floating grail that hovered above his head and poured down what seems to be a shimmering water-like liquid onto him. At least right until he was able to do so before the blood on his lip started to form. But--]
... the Grail spell that is supposed to remove all ailments didn't work? What is happening to me?! Just what in the hells is going on?!
[Needless to say, that attempt to distract his own self with pain and attempt to cure everything didn't work as intended, and now that agitation and paranoia had begun to start again.]

[She can't help but gasp at that card, the floating grail, the prettiness of a spell clearly meant to heal. That should have done it, right? If this wasn't a town matter...]
I don't know. I think it's the town's doing. It must be. That's not a slight against you. Not in the slightest. It's the nature of this place...
[She's careful to wrap up that arm in her apron, as best she can. The bloodstains don't matter; what does is making sure he's okay.]

[Now he'll be more visibly calm and less tense, but still glancing at Sakuya with the most shame filled expression on his face. He had not only let his guard down, but almost willingly attacked someone he cared for. Much less who knows how many more before encountering her.]
I don't know what is real and what is not. What I see could be nothing but lies when the truth is in front of me.
... if you are truly the woman I care for, then please take me somewhere to a place where I'm not too exposed to the outside. I don't want to harm anyone else that I would regret doing so later, and much less out of blind rage again.

[She manages a small smile at that before beginning to walk them to their bedroom, closing and locking the door and drawing the curtains closed. She leaves a dim lamp on, but otherwise the lights stay low.]
I know the world must seem a strange place right now, but it's the town's doing. You're far stronger than it is, and I know this strangeness will go away.
[She freezes time again, but only to get proper bandages and such for his hands. She's by his side again exactly a minute later.]
May I take care of them?

So he closes his eyes and makes a deep sigh before speaking to her again.]
Sakuya. Once you are done... I want you to wrap bandages to cover my eyes. The world outside my mind has turned against me, but inside my mind is where I am still in control. I cannot be affected if I cannot see so... until however long as it takes, I want to be blinded for a short period of time. And I want you to be with me until it is all over.
Can I ask of this from you?

You can, and I will. If it will help, then...I'll make sure you can't see, but I'll be by your side the entire time, until it fades. I promise.
[She moves to gently brush his bangs out of his eyes, then starts wrapping those bandages over them. After a minute, she nods.]
Can you see anything now?

[And against his better decision, he shifts a bit to lean against her. He didn't really like showing such exposing sides of himself to anyone but... this was all he could do for now. As his own form of apology.]

[That makes it easier, even if she's glad when she's done. Sakuya shifts to let him lean against her, finally letting herself take a deep breath and let some of the tension she's been carrying go. She's still wary, but she trusts him.]
How are you feeling now?
