One of my best friends just went home and I've had a couple return from kidnappings recently. I think it's something in the Christmas season, but I'm not sure what or why.

I don't have this "Christmas" holiday on my home world, though it seems to have pervaded through many of the others. I'd been getting the impression that it is a day devoted to love and peace [and presents]. Is it somehow more malevolent? Are kidnappings generally part of the celebration?

Kidnappings are never part of it back home. I have a theory that it's something the Malnosso are using as a second sort of experiment, but I hope I'm desperately wrong. [For the ONLY time in her LIFE. You will NEVER hear her say that again.]

I'm at the edge of the forest, where it meets the barrier. [Just look for the slightly blue paladin out in the snow with the bloodshot eyes who looks like he's in general need of a wife to clean him up properly.]

[Quite literally, as she's going to Apparate over to the forest along the barrier and just keep doing it along the line until she finally finds you, Cecil. She arrives a little bit away and approaches with caution.]

[The approaching noise that goes along with Apparating is enough to send him on edge; there's a hand on the hilt of his sword when she approaches.]

[she can't blame him, really, especially as her wand is in her hand and her trusty handbag is on the other arm. She offers a reassuring smile anyway.]

It's a lot easier to Apparate than run along the edge of the forest until I found you.

[She takes in his haphazard appearance then.] Do you need anything? [Meaning before she starts tl;dring on theories.]

I'm sorry for not wanting to discuss this over the journals, but I don't trust them for certain things.

[The smile acts as it should; he relaxes accordingly. As long as she's not trying to chew on his ankles, he'll consider her a friend.]

I understand completely. They do have a habit of eradicating those who speak out of turn.
