[Two full days have passed, with no end of the New Feathers in sight. Though the newcomers have seemed essentially harmless thus far, curiosity has gotten the better of him. He's out in town today rather than squirreled away in the forest, scanning around for potentially familiar faces.]

[He looks positively delighted at the sight of this Kain.] Kain... Your voice has been returned to you?

[Bloody but also probably at some point seeing the rare sight of Kain crying like a little girl!?]

[And he looks at Cecil like he's insane, then waves a spear in his face because that is obviously a less insane thing to do.]

I have no idea what you mean by that. Is it a challenge to fight?

[Cecil would probably be less disturbed by the blood than he would be the tears. REAL MEN DON'T CRY unless they're alone with their wives.]

[He frowns at the spear-waving.] Not particularly, but if you wish to spar I'm certain we can. Is now really the time for it, though?

[And here's a tiny Rydia running straight for him!]

R-rydia! [He catches her mid-run since it would be rude not to, but blinks at her, perplexed.] What's become of you?

[She hugs him, then looks confused.]

I'm lost and I don't like this place and--why aren't you in your dark knight armor?

I.. cannot wear it now. [He explains it to her patiently, automatically assuming that she's simply had her age regressed due tot he usual antics of this time of the month.] I've become a Paladin, Rydia.

[Ursula's wandering around, curious and confused. Then she spots a famliar face and brightens.]

King Cecil!

[She quickens her pace, heading over.]

[K--what. He's done a reasonably good job of not mentioning that whole coronation thing to anyone while he's been here. Who is this woman and how could she possibly know?] Ah.. Good morrow.

[She directs a Fabul-style bow at him, then straightens and smiles, immediately more informal.]

I'm glad to see a familiar face here. Are Father and Ceodore here, too?

[Then she pauses and looks at him oddly. He doesn't look quite as she remembers him, now that she has a better look.]

I'm afraid, milady, my answers to your questions would depend quite greatly on who it is you are.. It is my regret to admit that I do not believe we've yet met.
