Well, actually I was just reading them in the order you posted them haha.
By the way, I loved your post in the 605 discussion thread "Thoughts on the state of J/A" it was a wonderful analysis and I believe much the same about all that you said! #hopepoints!
Dan doesn't make it easy on us sometimes. So I understand why some people are feeling pessimistic, especially the ones who've been on the J/A bandwagon since 09/10. It's looking like nothing definitive is going to happen until the end of the season, but it also looks very much like they're building towards something. I mean, I know I'm heavily biased, but it's also just plain fact that the next most logical step from a storytelling standpoint is for them to get together somehow. So I guess it's possible for them to kick the can down the road again, but given what Dan said about S6 being the back half to S5, it would make sense for 6.12/6.13 to be the ultimate resolution of 5.12/5.13.

And haha, so that was cleverness on both of our parts! lol

Oh, I agree. I do think we're definitely building towards something though, especially since your 605 analysis we've gotten JA foreshadowing in 607 and the very important truthful improv "I love you" scene in 608. Also, ever since 604 the dynamic has really shifted between Jeff and Annie and by 608 the UST and tension is very noticeably not there.
And I completely get what you mean by 612/613 bringing 512/513 full circle, and if you're like me, you've probably also noticed the blatant S1 parallels in this season which I believe is leading to a Pascal's revisit (but like Megan has mentioned to you, neither of us feel very safe voicing that on the actual m/m forum for various reasons) (my reasons being that when I brought up the two shippy pics of 603/604, everyone told me that they weren't and in fact anywhere I mentioned them - reddit and m/m, twitter - people treated me like I crazy and it was very discouraging) and have been taking hope in that.
Because I really do believe that JA is coming.
Because there's been so much buildup.
So much subtle change in their dynamic.
So much of them being unafraid to show affection to each other in public.
So much foreshadowing.
It's leading somewhere
And like the message of Basic Crisis Room Decorum encourages us, "Hope vindicates and validates and restores," and combining that with the theme of Basic Sandwich's "love wins" and getting a Milady Milord so soon after + Jeff's reaching near implosion levels of too many emotions (especially about Annie) in 608, just makes me feel we're about to reach the breaking point for Jeff soon in regards to Annie and he's gonna confess to her and it's gonna be beautiful.

Well first off, I know both your names now, so I guess it's only right that you know mine. I'm Greg - which is the "G" in cgkm2099z :-)
As for the rest of it, it's perfectly fine for people to disagree with each other; it would be pretty boring if everyone had the same opinions on everything. And while I think most people are very respectful of differing opinions, there are a few that could stand to be more tactful, and at least one guy (at least I think this person is a guy) in particular can be very rude...
As for J/A, I'm still at a loss as to why they've been separated so much this season, and yet, I can grudgingly understand why we haven't had a J/A team-up episode. They're clearly building up this whole 'last man standing' thing for Jeff, and probably couldn't figure a way to have J/A team up without something major happening between them. S5 was about Jeff coming to the realization that he needed Greendale - but more specifically, the people at Greendale - in his life. To me, the theme of S6 seems to be that Jeff is worried that he'll be stuck at Greendale while the rest of the people move on - and that Jeff needs to realize that while yes, Greendale is a physical place, it's also an idea. And regardless of the physical place he's in, he can still have the connections to the people that he truly needs. And it would be basically impossible to run with this theme of 'last man standing' if Jeff and Annie were in a committed and happy relationship. You can't have Jeff headed for a meltdown if he's dating Annie and happy. Because either he'd be happy and not melt down, or it means he's not actually happy with being with her (which would be a much worse scenario, IMO). And actually, I hadn't even thought of this until now - and I think I finally understand why they're doing it the way they are... huh, I actually feel better now. (I think I need to put something about this in an episode discussion)
Some people have suggested that Dan just doesn't want to do it because he's too subversive for end game romance. To answer that, I need to go back to one of the early season interviews that we collectively freaked out about, where Dan said "I'm very precious and anxious about the romantic stuff... When two characters run across the room and start making out with each other, it will be as much a surprise to me as it is to you! It will be an impulsive, passionate decision." That doesn't sound to me like someone who's decided to just ignore romance because he thinks he's subversive. It sounds to me like someone who's very concerned with getting things right. My only concern with that is that he might be so worried about getting it wrong, that he ends up punting. But as I've said during various episode discussions, all of the little hints they've dropped have all pointed in the same direction. Jeff actually seems much more at ease with his feelings for Annie than I thought he would be. My other concern is that we're reading too much into the "hints" they're dropping, and that they weren't really intended as hints. But while that may be the case for some things, there's too much there for us all to be in just a collective delusion haha. And, of course, some things are so blatant, (like the M/M and I love you) that it's almost impossible not to read something into that.
Anyway, I'll be holding off on a final opinion of S6 until after it's complete. And despite my continued cautious optimism, May 26 & June 2 will probably be the most nervous I'll have ever been watching a show haha.
