This early article about S6 - written July 24, 2014 - has me really intrigued.

Here's a quote from the article:

[They all confirmed that Britta and Jeff's wedding is really off, but might there be another Greendale wedding? Rash has a pretty epic sounding pitch ( Read more... )

[They should be here by this weekend (which is bad news for school)!!!! And yes, I agree-- I've never wanted to rewatch episodes like this, and I love all the characters-- my dad made fun of me because I was watching a season 2 episode and everytime a study group member, the Dean, or Chang walked in, I would be like 'that's one of my favorite characters', because they really are so great!! And I love how a lot of the one off characters become recurring, and they become favorite characters too (like Magnitude, and my personal favorite Officer Cackowski ). And yes, I love the underlying themes of selflessness > selfishness, and how you need to grow to love other people or you'll be miserable.]

Hahah, oh dear, better hurry up with your school then so you can have the weekend free! And I think one reason I am drawn to rewatching these episodes and this show over and over and over is because the characters genuinely feel like FRIENDS to me and that I am a part of the Study Group every time I watch (albeit from the sidelines) and I love that feeling.

It's like you become a part of the group's "community" every time you rewatch episodes or think on them or write about them (meta/fanfic) and I love it. I haven't felt like this about a TV show EVER, and that makes Community special and it so easily explains why in earlier years why fans fought so hard to keep it on air.

And I love the minor characters too, like Leonard and Magnitude, and it's just so easy to love everyone this show (even the Dean, and even when he does questionable things like invading Jeff's privacy and pretty much stalking him :/) and it's so wonderful.

I know!! At the moment I only really have an essay to write, so it shouldn't be too bad . . . and yes, I know and like these characters, and it feels like I'm actually there, observing, and that's great!!

I haven't felt this way about a show before too-- I think it's because, even though it's a 'sitcom', it doesn't feel like one, it feels more real than that (with a side of insanity thrown in). And yes, I would have definitely fought to keep it on the air too!!

The Dean does creep me out, especially in "Studies in Modern Movement" and "History 101", but I have learned to look past those moments. He's not my favorite character, but he's up there. The minor characters are so great, mainly because they are recurring, so even if we're not as close to them, we get to know them too!!
