This early article about S6 - written July 24, 2014 - has me really intrigued.

Here's a quote from the article:

[They all confirmed that Britta and Jeff's wedding is really off, but might there be another Greendale wedding? Rash has a pretty epic sounding pitch ( Read more... )

I haven't even watched the interview (I always feel awkward watching BTS things because you're SO CLOSE - sorta - to the actors/writers/crew and that just makes me all blushy and nervous) but maybe I should hehe!

I made sure to keep that article on a bookmark so I don't lose it, and I find it a bit strange it's never been linked to the m/m comm, but at this point I only feel comfortable talking about it on my LJ because of the negativity spiraling around.... :/

A JA wedding would be amazing, but I don't know if I could see it happening in this time span, because they still have a lot to work through :(. (A JA wedding MOVIE though? That would be fantastic!!)

Well, if Yahoo orders more episodes (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ANOTHER FULL SEASON OF 24/25 EPISODES PLEASE YAHOO PLEASE) I could see it becoming a possibility, but right now there's only 13 episodes (which might be bumped up to 3 to 5 if Yahoo decides to order more, making 16 or 17ish episodes) so that wouldn't work under that time span.

But oooh, you're completely right that a J/A wedding movie might be within the realm of possibility!

Haha, Chang's new teeth - what is going to happen with them? That IS an important question to be answered!

You should-- it's pretty funny!! And I love BTS stuff, especially for Community, since the cast are all hilarious and they clearly love the show!!

Yeah, that's understandable-- but that's why we have our own journals, right?!

I'm kind of hoping for it for the movie, even if they do give us more episodes (PRETTY PLEASE YAHOO!!), because that would be awesome-- a proposal would be nice though!!

Like, are they going to CGI them in? Is he going to end up toothless? These questions need to be answered!!

[You should-- it's pretty funny!! And I love BTS stuff, especially for Community, since the cast are all hilarious and they clearly love the show!!]

Hehe, well I have begun loving the bloopers and other BTS stuff (I watched the documentary about "Pillows and Blankets" on YT and I loved it. It was funny to see how Joel and Gillian toed the line with choosing responses that mirrored their characters' responses in the ep - like Joel being indecisive and swinging between both sides, and Gillian just being completely neutral XD) so maybe I will eventually! I do have it bookmarked, after all. :)

[Yeah, that's understandable-- but that's why we have our own journals, right?!]

Yep. And thank goodness for having your own journal, that way you can talk about things to yourself or others without anyone scrutinising you. By the way, did you get my two-parter Ficcy Friday convo reply? And I'm working on the replies to your other ones but now we've gotten ourselves distracted by comments XDDDDD

[I'm kind of hoping for it for the movie, even if they do give us more episodes (PRETTY PLEASE YAHOO!!), because that would be awesome-- a proposal would be nice though!!]

I really really WANT/NEED more episodes soooo badly. I'm praying that the first ones turn out really well so we can get more because I'm longing for a full season again.

And maybe a JA proposal could be the cliffhanger that can be fully actualised in the movie!!!

Haha, Chang ending up toothless would be hilarious! Or maybe he'll just remove them because they're too much work....

SEASON SIX WHY YOU TAKE SO LONG.

[Not to say that I don't love the other seasons, because I do and I do understand why they did the things they did with the characters, but the progress both Jeff and Annie make as separate individuals and together in S1 is so understated and beautiful and I just love it.]

I love that documentary, I need to watch it again!! (And I love how the cast actually debates whether pillows and blankets are better). The one for Paintball is pretty good too, from my memory.

I have gotten it, and I was very happy to read it :). I started replying today, but there's so much of it, and I got distracted by comments!! I can't wait to read your replies to the others though.

[really really WANT/NEED more episodes soooo badly. I'm praying that the first ones turn out really well so we can get more because I'm longing for a full season again.]

Yes!! The only problem is if they are done writing the episodes and have to make changes to fit that, because it would be sad :(.

I think that may be the only cliff hanger I'm worried about (because of course JA will get together. And I heard a tentative airdate for mid-end January, so yay?

Wow, I'm getting really bad at replying to stuff and I still have like four/six comments of your replies back to *me* at your LJ to respond to...

[I love that documentary, I need to watch it again!! (And I love how the cast actually debates whether pillows and blankets are better). The one for Paintball is pretty good too, from my memory.]

Hehe, that's one of the best parts about the documentary, the cast taking sides on whether pillows or blankets are better and some of them, like McHale, seem to choose in-character lol. Hmm, I haven't seen the one for paintball. Maybe after the DVD drive on my computer is fixed I'll see if I can find it on my DVDs.

[I have gotten it, and I was very happy to read it :). I started replying today, but there's so much of it, and I got distracted by comments!! I can't wait to read your replies to the others though.]

Speaking of that, I'm currently replying to the Hiiii part 2 message and am halfway through it, so there's that, and hehe, it's funny how we both distract each other with comments or fics etc etc etc! Maybe if we exchanged emails we could get more done and more easily ;P

[Yes!! The only problem is if they are done writing the episodes and have to make changes to fit that, because it would be sad :(.]

Hmmm.... I think they could pull if off, actually. Community S3's latter half of the episodes (and those went up to 22) and apparently they were guaranteed only 13 at the start but that got upped to 9 and so yeah, I think it's plausible. http://www.reddit.com/r/community/comments/2iscfv/in_the_third_season_we_did_some_great_things_but/ there's some info here about the hiatus and how that affected everything and how many episodes had been ordered up till then.

[I think that may be the only cliff hanger I'm worried about (because of course JA will get together. And I heard a tentative airdate for mid-end January, so yay?]

Yep, the airdate for episode release is January 27th, last I knew, but that's still so far awaaaay. And of course JA will get together (I hope *crosses fingers*) and hehe, but yeah that cliffhanger with Chang's teeth..... what will happen to them?!

Ooh, I hope you do watch it!! It looks like it took forever to film, and I'm very impressed with their stamina :). (It might be on Youtube too).

Hm, I didn't know that-- I have faith in them though. I was just thinking it could be weird, and I don't want them to feel like they have to drag out story lines to last the whole season.

I'm about to reply to your other reply at my Community S3 meta but this one is shorter so I'm tackling it first!

[It's fine!! I can't wait to read your responses though :).]

Haha, thanks for being so understanding! I get behind so easily on mail, whether it's mail from Tumblr (asks/fanmail), or gmail, or LJ messages... and I am always distinctly aware of that and I frequently makes posts on Tumblr telling everyone I've not gotten a reply to yet "I'm so sorry for getting so behind on this I'm not blowing you off I PROMISE!!"

I can't wait to read yours either. :)

[Ooh, I hope you do watch it!! It looks like it took forever to film, and I'm very impressed with their stamina :). (It might be on Youtube too).]

Western! Paintball was the best paintball ep this show has ever done (I'm not that big on Modern Warfare, oops) and I bet the BTS stuff is fun! I'll have to try and see if I can find it on YT, or wait until my dvd drive is fixed.

[Haha, maybe!! And I'm caught up on the messages, so now it's your turn :P.]

Well, you did give me your gmail address so I'll make sure to give you mine the next time I reply and I'm working on the first hiiiii message now I'm trying to catch up!

[Hm, I didn't know that-- I have faith in them though. I was just thinking it could be weird, and I don't want them to feel like they have to drag out story lines to last the whole season.]

I hadn't known that either. This show has been through A LOT, and I have faith in the writers too.

[Yay that we have an airdate, but book for it being January 27th :(. SO FAR AWAY!!]

At least we have an airdate though!! But yeah - TOOO FAR AWAY!! I need my Community fix. *Goes and rewatches episodes I've already rewatched over again*

No problem :D. I can't promise to get back to you in a timely manner til next weekend, so I think we're even XD.

I'm in total agreement about this. (I'm not that big a fan either, I think it's slightly overrated, no offense to anyone). I need to watch it again, from what I remember, it was XD.

I'm catching up on your messages before I reply to jdp1979's response to me at the latest discussion thread (I found tattelatte's commentary on the overly critical-ness going on quite on-point, but I'm not touching that thread with a ten-foot pole, though I'm glad she spoke out about it because well... we know that some people are being overly critical and it's getting annoyingly depressing) so here we go!

[No problem :D. I can't promise to get back to you in a timely manner til next weekend, so I think we're even XD.]

I've begun on your other hiii message to me, would you like me to send what I have of "Hope" to you or would that be too much to process (since we're both behind on replying timely at this point lol XD)

I just loooove the western! paintball. One of the most inventive and innovative concept episodes this show has ever done (I think MW is slightly overrated too, annnd it has j/b in it tooo, so yeah) and oooh, awesome! I will need to see if I can find it somewhere. :)

[That is true!! And I might not get back to you soonish, so don't worry too much about it (but I do want to hear from you)!!]

Haha, and I want to hear from you too but let's not tire ourselves out trying to keep up with each other lol.

Ya know, no other show has inspired within me the desire to freely watch episodes over and over again (not even Doctor Who or Legend of Korra or ATLA!) the way this show does, which is a rarity for me. I don't TEND to get so deeply invested in tv shows, and what's more, end up loving every single main character (even Britta, yes) with my whole heart, which is another reason Community has become really special to me (not to mention the lessons of how selflessness is the right way and how some of the themes in the show seem to have an underlying Christian bias, especially the selflessness > selfishness themes) and I just love it! (And I hope your DVDs get to you soon!)

And yes, all the meta! (And possibly more ample observations to bring to the episode discussion rewatch threads!)

It's up to you . . . I've already read hiii 2 so if you want to send it, that's fine, but I can't promise timely feedback, so if you want to wait a little that's fine too :/. (I don't like how busy I am, I didn't have any time to write this weekend :().

I agree-- I love how it parodied things, but in a way where I could believe that it would actually happen in an episode. And I think the reason I loved it was because it was about the group as a whole, or at least pairings that had a natural chemistry (and Annie kicked butt). One thing that bothers me about Modern Warfare is that is seems to be there just to set up the Jeff Britta thing, and the other characters suffer because of that, whereas in Fistfull, the other characters had a fighting chance AND we got a bunch of good group dynamic stuff. (Also a couple of good Jeff Annie scenes, but not at the cost of the episode).

And I love how a lot of the one off characters become recurring, and they become favorite characters too (like Magnitude, and my personal favorite Officer Cackowski ). [Yay yay yay!!! I'm glad she spoke out on it too, but I agree, I'm not touching that!! (I can't wait to read your responses, but I don't know when I can respond to you).]

Me too, because whilst I do appreciate analysis/meta-ing, sometimes it's overly harsh to the point that it misses the point of the text (and I've seen this in fandoms that aren't Community) and so there needs to be some balance going on so that analysis happens, but not to the point it overwhelms other people with it because some people are really just here to enjoy the show and overly analysing anything can sometimes be to its detriment, lbh.

[It's up to you . . . I've already read hiii 2 so if you want to send it, that's fine, but I can't promise timely feedback, so if you want to wait a little that's fine too :/. (I don't like how busy I am, I didn't have any time to write this weekend :().]

Hmmm.... I've barely begun the first hiiii message, so maybe I should finish that one first, and then send you "Hope" before I tackle the Ficcy Friday convo reply. (Haha, I'm so busy replying to messages here at the comm that I have no time to write either mweah. I write in my head all day long - I keep alternating back between Community and Ice Age - but most of it hasn't gotten to paper yet, ya know what I mean? Fortunately, that also means I have your PnF/JA story writing itself in my head but I feel compelled that I NEED to finish "Dangerous" "Hope" and one other short ficlet - the one about Jeff reflecting on how Annie's "Grace"- first before I start on yours or I'll be all over the place trying to write so many fics at once! O_o)

Fistful, in my opinion, is one of the finest concept episodes this show has ever done (Geothermal Escapism is up there too) and it's like you said, it has a plot that showcased the entire cast and pairings with natural chemistry and gave everyone their due showtime, unlike MW, which really comes off as being a vehicle primarily for j/b to the detriment of other characters (namely Shirley and Annie, who are both badasses) and it's kinda sad because MW could've been much better whilst Fisful is just amazeballs.

[Agreed!! I'll try to respond to your hiii by Wednesday though!!]

I agree-- analysis is nice and fun to read and all that, but you have to keep in mind that a lot-- and maybe even most-- of the fans out there are really into it just to watch and enjoy it, and being over critical can rub them the wrong way. Also, if you're being so critical that your enjoyment of the show it ruined, you're probably overlooking some things.

[Hmmm.... I've barely begun the first hiiii message, so maybe I should finish that one first, and then send you "Hope" before I tackle the Ficcy Friday convo reply. I totally agree with you about it being one of the best concept episodes!! Yes-- I don't like that MW pushes J/B to the point of the other characters, and it could have totally been better!! I feel like the pushing of the relationship between them was at a detriment to the episode, and it would have been really fun to have the other characters last longer in it. Also, it wasn't really a character study at all, while Fistful does a really good job of studying the characters and their relationships-- Annie and Pierce, for example, in a mostly platonic setting.

[And i'll try and respond to the first hiii by today and get it completed so I can work on the ficcy friday convo but I still have so many comments of yours left to reply to.... .___.]

Hahah, oh dear, better hurry up with your school then so you can have the weekend free! And I think one reason I am drawn to rewatching these episodes and this show over and over and over is because the characters genuinely feel like FRIENDS to me and that I am a part of the Study Group every time I watch (albeit from the sidelines) and I love that feeling.

It's like you become a part of the group's "community" every time you rewatch episodes or think on them or write about them (meta/fanfic) and I love it. I haven't felt like this about a TV show EVER, and that makes Community special and it so easily explains why in earlier years why fans fought so hard to keep it on air.

And I love the minor characters too, like Leonard and Magnitude, and it's just so easy to love everyone this show (even the Dean, and even when he does questionable things like invading Jeff's privacy and pretty much stalking him :/) and it's so wonderful.

I know!! At the moment I only really have an essay to write, so it shouldn't be too bad . . . and yes, I know and like these characters, and it feels like I'm actually there, observing, and that's great!!

I haven't felt this way about a show before too-- I think it's because, even though it's a 'sitcom', it doesn't feel like one, it feels more real than that (with a side of insanity thrown in). And yes, I would have definitely fought to keep it on the air too!!

[And I love the minor characters too, like Leonard and Magnitude, and it's just so easy to love everyone this show (even the Dean, and even when he does questionable things like invading Jeff's privacy and pretty much stalking him :/) and it's so wonderful.]

The Dean does creep me out, especially in "Studies in Modern Movement" and "History 101", but I have learned to look past those moments. He's not my favorite character, but he's up there. The minor characters are so great, mainly because they are recurring, so even if we're not as close to them, we get to know them too!!
