Ah, history...
Geocities is shutting down, and I for one will reminisce fondly of the sparkly glitter backgrounds, the Yahoo!Geocities floater square in the upper right, and the endlessly copied mailbox clipart and superHUGE copyright notices centrally justified in bold.
Another scion of the early intarwebs bites the dust. (Me, I had a xoom account. Remember that? Endless free webspace, all for the low low price of some ad banners. Man....)
In other news, I saw Earth yesterday. Please, somebody tell me you're going to see it. I need to know that I'm not crazy because there was one scene that was disturbingly erotic and my brain can't quite wrap itself around it. My brother agreed with me, so maybe it's not just me - especially since we were in a theater filled with lots and lots of kids and a few chaperones/parents.
