(no subject)
Who didn't sleep last night? I didn't! Who has a fever? I do!
Who has to get on a 15 hour long flight later? I do!
I'm all sweaty and cold and gross and a little dizzy --that last bit in probably due to lack of food more than anything else.
I'm going to pack at least one suitcase, and then go out and get food, Nyquil/Dayquil, a new set of headphones, and I don't know what else. Back by noonish, methinks, for more packing.
On an unrelated note, Dad took me and the munchkin to see Beauty and the Beast on Broadway. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed some of the musical's songs, but the beast's voice was too boyish and everyone was hamming it up to an extreme with little relief. And they changed some of the set design as well --there used to be cutouts of trees for the wolves scenes and now they have a semi-transparent dropcloth of simulated trees.
The woman playing Belle had a great singing voice, but was poorly suited to the role --Belle is generally considered one of Disney's most level-headed, mature, intelligent female characters, and this woman performed her like she was Ariel from The Little Mermaid. It just didn't work.
But I think the munchkin enjoyed it, which is really what matters after all.
And now...packing.
