Excuse me while I laugh.
Yep, her deal was canceled --we all saw that one coming. And who guessed she had cribbed from more than two books? I did!
I should not be as satisfied as I am with this, but I am. -_- She's screwed and will have the stigma for the rest of her life. People don't like forgetting mistakes. *sigh*
Is it bad that upon considering how to shop for my little sister's birthday presents, I considered using the various gift cards I've received and then rejected the idea because I'm a selfish snot who wants to spend that free money on myself? Then again, what the hell am I going to buy at Tower Records? If they have the games she wants, might as well... I want to be good. Save my parents some money.
Well, I guess it depends on whether the cards can be used at any place that offers what the munchkin wants.
The third Xmen movie looks fun. *puts on to-see list* I can probably con my dad and brother into going.
Amidst all the obvious things I'm going to miss, I forgot a crucial thing: Scifi-slash-pagans club on Thursdays. Holy shit, this Thursday will be my last club meeting. That's something I've come to truly enjoy, and unfortunately have only recently gotten to know many people. Aw, man. Add one more thing to the list of regrets.
And for funsies: Recently the Discovery Channel ran some ads for "Deadliest Catch" featuring a pretty song. Us crazy people went bugging the higher-ups about it and trying to find it through forums and such. Well, apparently it wasn't an actual full-length song, but just a short promo piece commissioned just for the ads. But we fans kept bugging them, so they produced a full length version.
The website is here, but I couldn't get the download to work. Luckily, copy and pasting the URL for the DL into Firefox gives me the code for the intended stream, which includes the direct link for the song. I enjoy it, and I was one of the buggers scrounging on forums to find this thing. Whee!
