Goddamn snow. Stupid snow. I hate snow. It's cold and wet and it's blinding white and it gets everywhere because it collects and melts and BAH. With snow you get the black ice that comes with rain, the slush that doesn't go down grates into the sewage system, and smeared poop and pee everywhere. I hate snow.
I love the 7th IY ending. The mirrors and reflections are simply beautiful, and the animation is just...well, it evokes an oddly tense sensation of euphoria in me. So there. Compared with the craptastic mess that was the third opening "Owaranai Yume" it's amazing how different the OP's and ED's are. The quality is drastically different --the 3rd OP looked like some animation student's second semester flash project, poorly timed and with amateur camera angles. And listen to me talk as though I know what I'm talking about. I sound as irritating as those two wannabe film directors in class.
My fever's gone, I think, but now I've got an earache. *sigh* But hey, my Powerstretch class was canceled because the teacher got stuck in the snow, so my hips aren't dying. And my thighs have mostly recovered from the insanity that was Hip Hop on Thursday.
I had a minor breakdown yesterday mixed with a lovely dose of self-loathing. I tried on all my dresses for a sorority function and none of them fit. Even my stretchy black dress was tight, and then I had difficulties taking it off. I cried and locked myself in my room and didn't want to eat dinner, but I have no self-control and so had food and conversation with a friend. I'm a wimp. I'm not entirely sure these exercise classes are doing anything positive to my self-esteem --I always leave feeling fat and clumsy and angsty. Bah.
Discovered this bizarre little take on The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy via fanficrants. Wish I could draw/color like that. *sigh*
Though I confess, the idea of grown-up Mandy marrying Grim and wearing a Swan-Lake Odile-esque outfit amuses me. I'm doing my best not to figure out how having skeletal babies works. Or the sex, period. I mean, we've seen Grim mostly naked, and I swear we've seen all his bits and pieces. Not much in the way of fleshy penises there... And the alternatives make me wince. Ouchie.
[ETA] Neglected to add...we discovered that Narita Ken, seiyuu for Sesshoumaru, is the VA for another character...the Japanese dub of Johnny Bravo. Yes, you heard me, Johnny Bravo. I need to find me some of that, if only to laugh at the sound of Sesshoumaru hitting on every woman left and right.
