It's so windy and rainy that the sound kept waking me up. Impressive, actually, and a little frightening --I have issues with storms and large glass windows.
So Japanese Anime and New Media is listed as closed with a waitlist, which is fine because I'm already in the class, but there's a new addendum to it that I hadn't previously seen in the online course listings: Departmental permission required. I signed up for it already and am IN it, so I hope this doesn't retroactively affect my status in the class. Bah.
Just in case, I think I'll attend Thursday's first class of the Native American Traditions class. Just because it'd be nice to see Raven again and to see that video of the ranting man.
The reason I'm looking at courses is because I think I'd like to drop my Japan Lit class and transfer into Orientalist Impulse. Which, btw, has an interesting booklist. Flaubert's SALAMMBO, Shelley's FRANKENSTEIN, Said's ORIENTALISM, and a couple of short story collections, looks like. Looks interesting to me, at any rate. And still none of my classes have a booklist up, though Japanese Cinema in International Context has a course pack waiting, according to the email the prof sent out to the class.
2PM north side of Silver I meet with Nance.
[ETA] Both Joelle and my suitemate informed me separately that I'd misread the email missive and that there is NO course pack.
My suitemate's in the class too! W00t.
Betcha if I transfer into Orientalist Impulse, I'll find the vegan unbathed one.
