aikarin makes My Little Pony customs. What that means is, she takes a manufactured pony, takes it apart, and paints/dyes/re-plugs hair/renames the pony. Here is her punk Halloween pony. It is frickin' awesome. C'mon, it is. Cute skulls, glow in the dark paint and hair, and of course PUNK HAIR!! aikarin doesn't do punk hair very often, and it seems like she's the only MLP customizer who does it. I love punk hair on ponies.
If I had money, I would so bid on this pony. Or heck, request a custom made punk-haired pony. But alas, that shall have to wait. I hope she still offers custom orders in a few years. People do change hobbies, after all.
I found out that two of the Japanese Bobtail breeders I was keeping tabs on have closed up shop and retired from breeding (though they're still showing). This has also come up with a Turkish Van breeder and a Turkish Angora breeder. I weep, as I cannot get a cat for a year yet, and a breed of any sort costs more than animal shelter adoption fees, so that may be years off yet. I'm hoping that the already rare JBTs and Turkish Vans and Angoras don't completely disappear from the U.S. when I finally get a chance to own one.
