Guess who's birthday it is? To be honest, I'm never excited about my birthday. I don't really like celebrating it because it just doesn't feel like anything special. But this year, some friends and I decided to go out and do something fun. Nothing special, just hanging out. We went row boating and it was probably the most fun I had in a while. I haven't laughed that much in a long time. Of course a friend of mine had to be dumb enough to break one of the oars, but that's what I love about my friends. We always do the dumbest things and it just hilarious. I've known these friends for so long, it feels like forever. (Since we were 10!) I think one of the reasons why I don't like birthdays is that it's a reminder that everyone's growing older now. Everyone has responsibilities and work. We don't have as much time as we used to when we were kids. We can't always stay together and just play, but when we do, it's the best thing in the world. I love my friends. Every now and then I find them annoying, lol But these friends are different. These are childhood friends, best friends, lifetime friends. These are people who will always be with me no matter how far apart we are. I know I'm sounding corny, but it's just because as I grow older, I realize how much more I appreciate the people around me. I realize how much more I appreciate the good and bad times we shared together. I just wish these memories would stay with me forever.
