I recently found a copy of Lunar: Eternal Blue for the Playstation & it's a wonderful game, of course. I'm in the epilogue, and I seem to have a problem: I found the Rememberizer Crystal/Crystal of Memories, but it won't play the cutscenes. It glows and Ruby informs me when I reach an area that unlocks a cutscene, but even when the right disc is in or I try swapping the discs around, when I select the Crystal, all it shows is this:
MOVIE DISC
To be discovered...
To be discovered...
To be discovered...
To be discovered...
To be discovered...
Current Disc: (whichever is currently in the Playstation)
Trying to click on and select them does nothing, and while I can move the cursor around those five, I can't go to any others even though there should be more than five unlocked ones on the disc, according to the list. I've tried switching the discs around, and of course turning the game off and reloading (with each disc in). I've triggered the first one (on the Dragonship Destiny), the ones around Pentaguilia and a few others: none show up.
I'm considering restarting from the beginning of the epilogue (I didn't save over my endgame save file), but I'd prefer not to: I promised a friend I'd loan her the game when I saw her at Anime Expo, so I have less than a week to finish the game.
This bug doesn't exactly make it impossible to play the game, but it is really bugging me. I'm pretty sure my copy isn't bootleg - I picked it up at one of the stalls in Frank and Son's in City of Industry, and it has the box with all the contents except the character standees. It's not exactly mint, which I don't mind - I just wanted a chance to finally play this game - but one would think that if someone were going to make a fake of all the packaging and everything, it would seem newer. The soundtrack is a little scratched, but fixable: only one of the songs I checked had a problem. All the game discs are fine, as far as I can tell.
I tried checking the forum at gamefaqs to see if anyone had reported a bug like this - no luck. Does anyone have any ideas? There's Youtube, but it's really not the same.
