Greetings! I come bearing art!

Hi, I'm Yuki and I'm new. I've been a Lunar fan since the first game on the Sega CD and I'm happy to see there's an active community here on LJ for it. I'm a writer and an artist and I love how colorful and deep the series is. But enough about me, here's some pretty images of Dyne and Ghaleon in one big picture!

Large preview behind the cut and implied spoilers from the first game. )

I really love the two of them together. Or, er. One-sided Ghaleon affection. Something about the yearning and never getting what he truly wants pulls me in.

Same here, actually. I just love Dyne/Ghaleon. ♥ My friend NeonTiger and I are working on a story where these two get together. And Ghaleon's love for Dyne is canon if you know where to look. (Especially in one of the manga pages.)

Though I like the idea of Dyne feeling back for him, I'm a fan of tragic romances and all, so I really love the idea of well. It never happening, too? I know, I'm terrible. The poor guy has suffered enough as it is. :(

Are we talkin' 'bout Xenobia mentioning that the only person he ever loved was Dyne or The Inheritance of Vane? The whole thing is pretty adorable.

Well, I don't mind tragedy in my romance, so long as they have a happy ending out of it. I just can't stand sad endings, ya know?

I was referring to the former, but there's also the latter. Chibi!Dyne! Not to mention their interaction when Dyne's all grown up. Though it's really sad when you think of how Ghaleon would outlive Dyne either way... barring being killed by a group of strong kids that is.

I'm on/off about happy endings. Part of me loves them, but the other part also likes something beyond average? I just like something that attaches to me emotionally.

His death scene in EB is possibly the one thing that can make me start sobbing like a little girl no matter what. Though if its remade, idk. John Truitt's voice is part of the ~experience~ of Ghaleon.

I go with the Neil Gaiman philosophy about that. (At least in regard to his children's stories.) You can take the story as dark and terrible as you like so long as all that misery eventually leads to a happy ending. When you're emotionally involved with the characters and really feel for them in their darkest moments you just want them to get that happy ending, and I feel cheated when they don't get it.

Yeah... poor Ghaleon. It's more reason why I want him to be happy. ;_;
