Having moved into the new flat, almost completely (some furniture to come for my study), I feel much more relaxed and settled - aside from boxes everywhere. Still, it is gradual progress towards a healthier lifestyle. And as I apply to universties within the next couple of weeks, it is also the start of Things to Come

It did, poor sage. Still I used it last night in some cooking, so it feels all included now. It is pretty big, so I also bought it a huge new pot and it now has less competition for light in the new place.

Aye, they do like to throw excuses at you if you delay sending it - anything in their favour not to admit they are at fault. After 3 months of persistence on my part, I did 20% knocked off the bill for repair, but still hurts. Good luck with the camera. I didn't actually need a reciept in the end, but perhaps the store you acquired it from would still have you in their records, if it wasn't too long ago?

I am sorry to hear the job isn't working out for you - it certainly sounded like alot of commuting hassle anyway, which is draining.

M has just bought a dSLR Pentax today for ridiculously cheap due to the release of the newer model, and alot of cunning online shopping, discount vouchers and a lens that sold for £30 as it is being replaced (normal price £200, he got one of the last left in the country at the weekend). That's the xmas present from his family, I should be able to play with it occasionally ;)

I am quite happy to use film for special projects, and play more with different types (ambitiously plotting trying IR and Slide film eventually). Though it isn't cheap, so it'll be nice to have my digital for more flexibility/sponteneity again.

I go home on 19th Dec-30th, dividing my time between each parent's abode, and seeing some of my closest friends for a thorough catch up. Lots of walking in the hills/woods I miss, drinking and eating, and some folk music on Yule night. I am really starting to miss home these days, but I suppose because it is closer to where I would like be - I am a small/medium old market town/rural girl at heart, lol!

I am to send your package by 11th - last USA date here before christmas. It is on my to do list this weekend! I shall email my new address to you later, pelase reply with yours - not sure whether I have it.

I can collect mail any time before 19th Dec :)

Thanks, I am not sure when I'l lget round to posting photos - alot of sorting and room personalising to do this weekend, but the PC should be networked by Sunday night so bombardment will commense soon! lol

You must give your camera love soon, for wintery atmospheric pictures in your area...How is the flat treating you? Is it as you want for now?
