Knitting stuff
So I promised a few days ago that I would post pics of my current knitting projects. Some are pretty freaking cool.
First off we have the one voodoo wrist warmer that I made and it's little counterpart which I'm still currently knitting. The stripes will almost match. They'll be off by about an inch and a half. I'm so proud that I made the little button hole thumb opening correctly. It makes me very happy.
I'm also halfway through one of the coolest scarves ever: The Harry Potter Dark Mark Illusion scarf. I have one dark mark done. I still have to do the middle section which is just plain black and green stripes and then another dark mark pattern..
This will be the 6th time I have started the Irish Hiking Scarf. I keep screwing it up for some reason. The pattern is a little hard to see on the pic so click on the link to see the pattern picture. And I added a pic of my kitty Paulie for no real reason.
The last pic is the bag I was making a couple months ago. The pattern is my own. It was to just basically learn how to cable. I now know that you need at least one purl stitch around the cable stitches for the pattern to really pop. I should have done the wheat braid on a panel of reverse stockinette stitch instead of the other way around. The bag is pinned but I haven't blocked it or sewed it together yet. The strap is an 8 stitch I-chord.
