ren faires and fun
so this weekend has been really amazing and something wants to keep me in southern ohio. i have no idea what it is but its keeping me there. held my watch, geode and now my art history book as... i like how im loosing words here. capture..r...c...um...shit. held captive? yes. held them captive. oh fucking god. i cant think. yes so got back on thursday night, stayed at home did some homework. dad made steak terriakyi. friday dentist appts. run around, chuckie cheese, ran over emmas foot a little, watched walace and gromit hung out etc. more trying to do homework. sat. morning, yesterday, leave crack of dawn to get to Columbus by 9:30 make it without much trouble on the road. so get into columbus and there are crowds of people crazy crowds way too many people for roslyn to handle, kinda flipping out wishing i was in europe. wishing i was elsewhere. the cops at 7/11 told me i had to leave because i was taking up a reserved parking space. it was a game day and all of these stupid pedestrians, blocked roads, fayes bro running late, mel not being able to get to me, me not being able to park, us not being able to use the right roads. it takes us 1 1/2 fucking hours to try and get to a parking place so i can leave my car, pick up faye and her brother and get everything into mel's car. all this time mel's in her corset having police officers stare down at her boobs. and trying to run to get faye. no running in a corset mel. bad news. so we get out, we're on the road, we're running late from my clock and we have to take faye and brother home before we go to the ren faire. which at first kinda irritated me since i wanted to get to the fair early you know like a normal time but we dont. we get to faye's house around 2pm. she changes into costume which is a good thing, glad she did, it was time well spent but still that gets us to the faire at 3:30 irritates me cause it closes at 6pm. i fucking drive all the way from syracuse to spend 2 1/2 hours at a ren faire? well i did spend time with mel. mainly driving time and the 2 1/2 hours but good times. so we get all of our gear and treck around the ren. faire. nice layout big loop a good time. good shops. taking a bit longer than i'd like and we dont get to see any shows. oh well. so we do our shopping. thats what you go to ren. fairs for, to show off your costume and buy your costume details. frivolous things that you buy anyway. i bought a necklace and hair decorations. money well spent. expensive but well spent, i've been eyeing them for a while. so i also buy tom a geode which i split myself and came out beautiful which i manage to forget at the faire. damn me. we're walking out of the faire happy, since i dont know i forgot the geode yet. and mel gets a cat call from a wesley (princess bride) sort of guy. suave invites her for dinner kisses, necks oh man mel. i had never seen you single you corsety little girl! so mels popping out and this guy is taken with her. we drop of faye back at her place, realize that i've lost the geode and become very upset and buy potato salad. so i call around to get this geode back, at the time no follow ups. faye decides to stay at home for a while and mel and i end up going to this dinner party with ren. people we only met for 5 mins. yes. did anyone expect this of me? no... im sure. so we get there, hour late dont know anyone. mel goes off with this david kid and im with a houseful of other rennies. more on this later just learned i have to take a shower. i think i smell like cigarettes and massage oil. more on that later too.
