Good times
I haven't posted in absolutely forever. The weather has just been so hot that I've found it impossible to do much more than get up and go to work, get home, eat and go to bed. My house is a disaster and totally neglected. But I don't care.
Had an absolutely fantastic weekend. Bella and I jumped on the train down to Glasgow for Walking with Dinosaurs which was absolutely fantastic. It really was probably the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Took about 70 photos, a very few of which I have uploaded. Only uploaded a few though because my folder upload isn't working for some reason and I had to upload individual pictures.
Bella loved it. She's still hyper four days later. We spent an absolute fortune on the merchandise. They know how to make their money. To be honest though, I really didn't mind on this occasion. We're not going on holiday this year so I was determined to enjoy this weekend to the full and not worry about how much money we were spending. And that's exactly what we did. Did buy a great big T-rex helium balloon which was stupid, because I then had to try and get that to stay on the luggage rack of the train on the way home. Didn't think that one through to well. And then I almost left it on the train when we got home.
Paid another visit to the Disney store. Spent even more money in there. Didn't mind that either because we got Bella's school bag, lunch box and pencil case with bits and pieces in it (all Sleeping Beauty of course), so it wasn't just gratuitous spending. She did actually need those things.
Also putting me in a good mood was the news that my mortgage application has been approved!!! I was hoping to hear about that on Friday before we left so that I wasn't stressing about it all weekend, but I did actually forget all about it. Got the good news on Monday.
Also also Harry Potter is out next week, True Blood Season 1 comes out on TV (finally), so I'll watch that again, and True Blood Season 2 is fantastic so far.
There were a couple of bad things, however. Nothing ever goes plain sailing my life. My freezer broke. Got home from work to find it had defrosted. Had to throw everything out and buy a new freezer. Still haven't bought anything to put in said new freezer. The only things in there at the moment is ice packs for Bella's lunch box and ice pops. That's it. Must stock up this weekend.
The other thing was that after a really good weekend away, we got home to find Bella's goldfish had died. She was devastated. I was just devastated it wasn't the rabbit. She seems to have gotten over it now though. We will get another one eventually.
