A Vacation! (At last!)
So, my hubby and I just got back from our first vacation in something like 3 or 4 years. (I think 4 is more accurate.) We didn't go far, and we didn't go for long, but we WENT! We went up to Lake George for a couple of days (just got back) and it was WONDERFUL! Mostly because we had no agenda and could do what we wanted, when we wanted. Highlights included: Great Escape (it wasn't too crowded and we saw a really cool high-dive show) Sushi dinner Wednesday night with Evan and Roo (both the food and the company were outstanding!) and four rounds of miniature golf. Jonas and I tied on the first round and then I beat him the rest of the time! (Don't ask me how I managed that-he's the one who plays golf on occasion, not me!) Anyway, it was a great way to spend the week before school starts and I actually feel semi-relaxed for once (not that it will last for long!) So, anyway, yay! Oh, and if anyone's planning on going up to Lake George and is looking for a good hotel, I HIGHLY recommend the new Hampton Inn and Suites - good prices, excellent rooms and service, and a FULL hot free breakfast every morning. PLUS a nice tree-filled view with no audible/visible traffic. Enjoy your weekend, all! :)
