October 3rd was Mean Girls Day. Mean Girls is one of my favorite movies, and with its popularity, one can see why. The lines are so funny in a memorable way, but at the same time the movie addresses serious issues. It looks at the way girls in school can be mean to each other; it was based off of a self-help book by Roselind Wiseman. The film has a positive message at the end, which says that tearing someone else down is not going to make you happier.
Also, Tina Fey is brilliant.

What's also cool is that the lines can be applied to a whole bunch of crossovers, in a different context. I've seen it applied to Harry Potter, to cartoons, to musicals, even to real-life history. And it all manages to work!
Some of my favorite lines include:
Regina: Stop trying to make fetch happen. It's not going to happen.
Damian: That's why her [Gretchen Weiners'] hair is so big. It's full of secrets.
Janis: How do I even begin to explain Regina George?
Janis: It's been a month and all we did was make her face smell like a foot.
Regina: I can't go to taco bell I'm on an all-carb diet! God, Karen you're so stupid!
Ms. Norbury: How many of you have ever felt personally victimized by Regina George? *all hands go up*
And of course, that 4-way phone scene.
I've been reading the Narnia series recently, and think that some quotes could apply there too. Jadis would be the Regina George of the Narnia verse lol.
Edmund: The Queen seems sweet.
Mr. Tumnus: The Queen is not sweet, she's a scum-sucking dictator, she ruined my life!!
Aslan: How many of you have ever felt personally victimized by the White Witch?
*most hands and paws go up*
Anyway, I might share more later.
