State of the us.

Thank you all so much. We're doing alright, spending a little extra time with Max, Amber and each other. Your support and sympathy, the friends who came and grabbed us to go to coffee, and all of it made this easier on us. You are all loved and deeply appreciated.

Back to the daily grind now- I suppose that it's really how we cope: there's no way around the things that HAVE to get done, so you do them, and they help distract you. We're still looking to move. I found a place that seemed promising- the price was REALLY good, and it has all of our dealbreakers covered. But it's much too small, and on a major street, facing the traffic. It looked better from the outside because you can't tell that they took an already small house and subdivided it. Two bedrooms don't do it when you can barely turn around in the rest of the house.
So we keep looking. We've really got to move soon. It's been 6 months since I determined that the rent was too high for us to live comfortably here. Granted, we've been able to survive this long- but this month it was only due to friends loaning us money and BPAL and box sales. So we're ramping up the house hunt. I've seen some nice possibilities in Upland, and I'll keep you all appraised of our findings.

Box sales are going OK- we've gotten some interest, sold a few boxes and Chris and the lab are talking about future projects, which is really exciting. Anything we do I'll post pictures of here, as long as the lab says it's OK.

Speaking of pictures, chatrient I have something to show you. Your box is done. We brought it to Will Call, but we missed you there. It's up on our Etsy - listed as "Toniette's Treasure Box" . Of course, this one is yours- the model all others will be candled to. :D

Is it just me, or does that look a little like a striptease?

A good friend is taking me out to lunch today, so I'd better go and get dressed.
