Update
Dinah will be going to the vet this afternoon, after I've gone to work. She hasn't eaten, although she did have some water, she threw some back up last night. The vet said he thought he might give her another IV bag-full and send her home, so Chris is going to ask him what would be kinder for her. She's sleeping a lot, and we've thought that she might slip away in her sleep, but she picks up her head and purrs at us whenever we pet her.
Honestly I'm at a loss on what to do, but hopefully Chris and the vet will have something figured out.
ETA: Dinah was given another IV, and Chris took her home. She's going to be made as comfortable as possible, and we'll ease her passing in any way we can. I'm not sure why the decision was made this way- Chris said the vet told him this was the way we should proceed- but she's terminal, so I don't know why quick wasn't better? I wish I was home or could have talked to the vet myself.
In any case, I'm going to look at this as a chance to love on her for a little bit longer.
