Two weeks drinking water almost exclusively. The first few days, I tried having a diet pop in the morning, but that was just making things more difficult. Now it's becoming a habit and I'm actually enjoying the water more than the soda. That's progress of some sort.
On the plus side, despite the fact that I haven't lost any weight yet, over the weekend, "Mom" (soon to be mother-in-law) asked if I had. I don't look as tired as I've been looking.
Hoping that the next two and a half weeks without a major source of stress will give me a chance to kickstart the exercise habit and get some of the weight moving in the right direction (AWAY!).
As an added bonus, C told me this morning that, while we have a couple stress free weeks, he's going to try to stop smoking. Since I've known him, he's gone from one pack (sometimes two packs) per day to less than half a pack on an average day (on a good day he only smokes 3-4 cigarettes).
Now, if only I could kick the chocolate habit, I'd be doing awesome.
But we're moving in a good direction.
