Ok. So we all know everything I go through, have been through, etc. But now I am going to tell you what has happened to other people who work at the nursing home in the past 6 months, and you tell me if you think the place is dangerous to work for or not!
1.The medical records worker fell and hurt herself so badly that she needed surgery and physical therapy.
2.The payroll woman's daughter was in a car accident about 100 feet from the nursing home, and totaled her car.
3.Several weeks later, the payroll woman herself was in a car accident and broke her neck. She is now at home recovering in a waist-to-head "halo."
4.The new housekeeper doubled over in pain at work, she has an ectopic(tubal) pregnancy and had to have surgery to remove it.(FYI, they are treating her just as "wonderfully" as they treated me when I was out for the m/c. Not "Gee, I hope she's OK," just "hurry up and get a doctor's release so you can get back to work." Nice, huh?)
5.The Executive Assistant went home the other day, went to the gym, and had a heart attack. She is in the hospital.
So, this is just the stuff I can THINK of right now. Is it just me, or does it seem like if you work there, something horrible will happen to you or someone close to you? Ugh.
And I have a horribly pulled muscle, or multiple muscles, from busting my bum in there on Thursday, Friday, and Tuesday.(Monday was a relatively mellow day for me.) I hurt from the neck down to about mid-rib on the left, and then I have this horrible pain on the right side of my back that feels like it needs to pop or crack or something, but it won't:( I have spent the past several days taking Soma, using ThermaCare heat patches, and Icy Hot patches. Ry has given me massages. Not much seems to help, even hot showers with the massage setting on. And I was so mad at work yesterday...Ms. Lazy Pants worked MAYBE 30 minutes in the laundry from 6am-11am! Then she did some measly-peasly stuff, and disappeared again, then went to lunch, then disappeared AGAIN...she hardly did any work all day. And before you say something like "tell our boss," well, I know for a fact that 90% of the time that she wasn't working she was sitting on her ass in the boss's office drinking coffee and yapping, pretending to "go over orders" and other crap like that. Bullshit stuff that she shouldn't have been doing when we were so busy..I worked thru half of my luinchbreak! While I was loopy from popping 1/2 a Soma! She was FULLY AWARE that I was in pain, that I had a pulled muscle, that I was on meds, that I had on a patch of icy hot...and she still did NOTHING. Did not offer ONCE to help with any of the lifting/pulling/pushing, nada!!!!!
I hate my job. I hate it more than anything else in the world, and really at this point it's all because of her! And no one will do anything. She's "pals" with the boss. He knows how she is, and yet he's pals with her. That's fine, if he wants to be friends with her outside of work, that's just ducky, but at work he should MAKE her work, instead of getting away with crap. And then promoting her, WTF??? He invited her and her husband to his kid's Boyscout ceremony thing...I don't know, he "graduated" or something, moved up...I have no idea, I'm not in Boy Scouts, but whatever. I don't know anymore.
Anyway, I put a ton of stuff on sale into the "sale and clearance" section on Etsy...I really want to clear some space, try to inspired for some new pieces, so feel free to wander over there if you have a few bucks burning a hole in yer pockets. Most stuff is now under $10, most is $5 I think, with the exception of a few "special" pieces.
www.etsy.com/shop.php I think I need a fresh "pain patch" and something to sip on...it's cool enough out but it's humid, so I am thirsty. And maybe a nap is in order, since I A) didn't sleep well due to the pain, and B) had to get up and wait for the Comcast Cableman to come and fix the bloody cable. Luckily he showed up quickly.
OK, so, ttyl!
