RL can be such a pain in the rear. XD Especially homework.
Anywho, I'll do a short reaction post to last week's Merlin now, before I forget. I had debated on not doing one, but I figured I best do something for each episode.
I have to say that the beginning was made of awesome-sauce. Although we don't get to see the idea to dress Merlin up as a knight unfold. Did Merlin volenteer for the mission or did Arthur do it for him? and if it's the latter, did Merlin kick up a fuss at first or was Merlin all for it? I'm sure Merlin would do anything to help his king now (and it's soooo good to type "king" and know it's Arthur now and not Uther), thus he'd probably have no problem with dressing up as a knight.
I so want to write a fic based on Merlin being a knight... but of course I have three other stories in the works. XD Still might do it, though, because the idea won't leave me alone.
Moving on. So they gone and captured themselves a king, and who is the king of that kingdom Gwaine said his father was a knight of... Caerleon, or something (can't recall how to spell it right now). Apparently, thanks to the credits, the king is called that as well. Hmmm.
So, Arthur kills him, thanks to his eeeevil uncle, who really needs to die or something horrible. I'm glad, however, that Arthur had realized later that he should have listened to Merlin and even tells Merlin this. I'm so happy that their relationship is moving in the right direction.
I really loved the A/M moments in this. Just... hearts in eyes. ♥ And Arthur calling Merlin his old friend! ♥___♥
This is what should have happened in the tent:
:D
So. Queen Annis. Can I just say, SHE'S FRICKING AWESOME? Loved it when she bitchslapped Arthur when he came into her tent (and she's allowed to because she's a queen, hahaa! Black Queen to White King, Check!). Aww but poor Merlin, he got caught spying in the queen's tent. Shame on you, Merlin! XD Honestly, a whole camp full of soldiers and he didn't think that he'd get caught with his arse sticking out as he was peeking? lol.
Merlin, tripping and ending up into a tent... you wonder whose tent it was he fell into. Was it Arthur's? Maybe Gwaine's?
That whole champion fight. It was like the reds and blues going at it. COME ON YOU REDS! XD
Arthur gets his sling ready:
I loved that Arthur seemed to be looking for Merlin to see what he should do, if he should kill the opponent (I know he had a name but I honestly can't think of it right now), or not. Arthur does the honorable thing and doesn't kill. Merlin is pleased with his boyfriend's decision.
I know I'm forgetting other things, but I can't remember them now. Anyway, awesome episode. Next week: bondage, wet Merlin, Merlin/Morgana, and Dragoon!
